This is a great "anchor" to the beginning of a walk down NW 23rd street. Come here for brunch/lunch. The pastries were good enough that we bought some for take out. We live elsewhere, in a city that has a lot of places that try to do this, but most don't pull it off like this place does. Try the... More

Small, delicious morsels of sugar, chocolate or fruit....just enough for two. Also a selection of breads and sandwiches can be purchased to go.

In anticipation, I waited 5 minutes for the store to open which is actually 6:30 AM but the pastry case was empty. I could wait 15 minutes while it baked. Alas, it was going to be in the next batch of baked items and another 20 minutes. I left. The gal at the counter said they routinely don't have the... More

While visiting Portland, we found this bakery located near our hotel. Quaint & charming neighborhood, this bakery is a must! Our breakfast was quiche & pastures, generous portions & delicious coffee. We plan on going again before we leave.

They have a "line system" where you queue up and order your food and then find a place to sit. The place is packed so obviously the food is good. It is noisy.. it is chaotic.. the lines snakes along with little "management".. there are two cashiers but sometimes they don't ask for the next person in line.. it looks... More

This was a very quaint cafe with a great Portland vibe. Great food and fabulous pastries! Parking is a challenge but it's worth it.

When visiting family in Portland we are fortunate enough to be able to walk to the bakery early in the morning and pick up their most delicious croissants and baguettes, the crust of those is un-like anything I have tried elsewhere. We also like to sit in their pleasant cafe for a cup of coffee and one of their great... More

I am amazed at how good the quality is of the many different French specialities this boulangerie bakes up. From the authentic baguette and breads and viennoiserie, to the beautifully prepared cold case deserts. For lunch or dinner I highly recommend their salade nicoise or their quiche (which is easily enough for two people). There is so much else though... More
