Hubers is one of those "been there since day one" type of places that was and still is great. It is on Third St in Portland. Three blocks from the River. Cool original decor. Good food at not crazy prices. The coolest (or hottest) item is the Spanish Coffee. The waiters are wonderful entertainers and are great, and safe, at... More

We have visited Huber several times, but haven't visited recently. This is our first visit in at least five years, still great cocktails and service. The bar is know for its Spanish Coffee and the restaurant is known for its turkey dinners. Great old Portland atmosphere established in 1879.

It's an old school place where the food is terrific and the service is excellent. Get there early unless waiting in line is something you enjoy as for me, not so much. If you have to wait, it is worth it. The Spanish Coffee is made table side, a wee bit of a show and they are very good, be... More

I was a guest on a Friday afternoon to this Old renowned Portland eatery. Years ago in the SF Bay area I was introduced to some places that were " old San Francisco". Well this is old Portland. Great menu for lunch, one of THE best if not the best clam chowder I have had in my life and certainly... More

A heaping serving of white and dark meat, sage dressing, mashed potatoes smothered in turkey gravy. Yes, it came w cranberry sauce too. Everyone is served a sweet bear corn bread to start. It's unique and grew on me. Too full for desert but I will plan head next time and eat less and save room. The bar tender comes... More

We went here for dinner on or first night in Portland. From the street this looks like any average restaurant, but when you walk back to the dining room, it's incredible! The restaurant is smaller, loud, but great! My husband and I both ordered the Spanish coffee and the bartender came to our table to make it in front of... More

Excellent food served in a friendly and lively atmosphere. Huber's is a restaurant that has an old world, pub like feel to it which we enjoyed. I had a marion berry martini . . . yummy perfection! The Spanish coffee is a hit at this restaurant and the server puts on quite a production making this 'flaming' drink. Expect friendly... More

30 of us convened in Portland for an annual reunion. None of us were from the area and so did not have 1st hand information on the dinging scene. We relied on a recommendation from a friend who raved about Huber's. We were not disappointed. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly people and the entire experience from when we... More

We went in to just get something quick to eat before we turned in for the night, man were we pleasantly surprised. We got a couple of appetizers. An order of Chinese Style BBQ turkey breast with a horseradish type sauce, and the 5 spice pork tenderloin with sweet chili sauce. Both were delicious, I recommend both. The desserts we... More

We had asked for a booth in making reservations weeks before. None available. Our waitress never bothered to mention the happy hour specials. Food was OK, but we ate in so many other Portland restaurants far superior. Afraid the restaurant is vastly overrated.
