About
Noble Rot opened in May 2002. It has gained local and national attention including the NY Times, the Wine Spectator & Gourmet. The Willamette Week named Noble Rot "Restaurant of the Year" in 2003 & Sunset Magazine named it “2009 Wine Bar of the Year”. The best way to plunge into the Rot is through the wine flights that are offered each day. They also display a large bottle selection and all the wines are available to go. Noble Rot’s highly regarded, locally sourced, seasonal food menu is made up of small plates with intense flavors. Noble Rot is perched atop the fourth floor in an award winning, environmentally sound, Leed-platinum certified building (the greenest!) which includes a fantastic

We wanted a nice, up market, restaurant to finish off our stay in Portland. Noble Rot met all expectations. Firstly, the food was outstanding. Our table comprised all sorts of palates, including bored teenager. We had a lot of requirements and expectations, and all were...More

This restaurant doesn’t disappoint with the food and drink, partially stocked from its own sustainable rooftop garden. The food is varied, delicious and portions are very reasonable. Service is a bit luke warm for my taste. Overall a great place.

We went with 2 other couples and sat outside on the patio and had a great time. We had excellent service, a great choice of wines and enjoyed all the apps we shared. Highly recommend if you like wine and the view is a bonus.

My husband chose to reserve the 5 pm first seating for dinner the night before Mother’s Day. He scored big time! Our drinks were fresh, our waitress spent a little time talking about the menu and we enjoyed the ambience overlooking downtown. We had our...More

Have been to dinner here several times. The restaurant is on the 4th floor of a small building in NE Portland. Their rooftop garden provides some of their vegetables and herbs in season. Hard to be more local than that! The food is impeccably prepared...More

Don't go to Noble Rot for dinner. If you are really hungry, stop at salads. Out of 4 different entrées we ordered, only halibut was finished, and not very enthusiastically. Everything was unseasoned and overcooked. Lamb T-bone was particularly bad - dry as a shoe...More

I enjoyed this place a lot. Great, fun atmosphere with a lot of energy. Full wine list. Good selection on the menu. It was a little noisy at first until the large crowd thinned down a bit. But, we had a great time and it's...More

We had a really nice evening. Lovely view, nice service, great bottle of local Tempranillo. Great olives, yummy burrata. The carbonara special was a bit salty, the steak was ok, but overall a nice experience. The PB & J dessert was sooooo yummy!
