These donuts are serious and seriously delicious too. So filling, I think the server said they use cake batter. I believe that. I was full for three hours after eating just one, but pricy like Voodoo, which is all about weird fun. This place is...serious, it’s the IBM of donuts.More

I was HYPED to start my donut adventure in Portland at Blue Star. I had read SO many wonderful things about it. The place itself is stunning. crisp counters and the presentation of the donuts are stunning. So I went with my standby of the...spicy chocolate donut, my husband got their "glazed" donut and our companion got something 'fruity". We sat down and the counter, took our Instagram photos and preceded to dig in. DUD...mine was a grease trap of mushy gross dough. My husband's donut was the best out of the 3. Thank goodness I was full from our breakfast at Tasty N Alder or I would have DEMANDED a refund for the disgusted mess that was my donut. It was like they left it in the fryer for too long and it soaked up more oil than chocolate glaze. Luckily my husband and our friend shared their donut and we threw mine away. I let them both taste it. I was not going through that horror-show alone. All in all it's a pretty place but beware you may get a greasetrap instead of light airy sugar delight.More

I heard this was better than VooDoo so I had to give it a try. I went later in the day so options were limited. One flavor was better than the other but the price was the highest I paid from other shops. I purchased...2 and it was nearly $8.More

Blue star starts our their donuts with a brioche dough, the base is very important to get good texture so when the fillings of creams or toppings of icings get added the final product is heavenly. These donuts are spectacular, the variety of flavors like...bourbon blueberry basil to passion fruit coco nib will lead you through a new kind of donut journey. They also have classics for those who need their particular fix.More

Vegan daughter and her husband took us to Blue Star on recent trip to Portland. They love the place and the vegan donuts - my wife and I are good with a simple cinnamon role or maple bar with our coffee so we are not...the folks who normally go out of our way for a $5 vegan donut - Blue Star is the place for you if you are vegan and want a vegan treat and it does appear there are a large number of those kinds of folks in Portland!More

Best doughnuts I’ve ever had. They have three types of doughnuts; brioche, cake and buttermilk. During my stay in Portland I tried their blueberry brioche doughnut, their chocolate almond glaze brioche, their lemon and poppy seed buttermilk and their apple cider fritter (both of these...were my favourite) and finally their matcha and lime cake doughnut and I have to say all of them were unbelievable.More

Gotta check this out! The donuts were moist, the dough was firm and flavorable and the selections were too many to eat in one sitting. If you were to rate VooDoo a 5, this would be a 10+ The place has a seating area for...you to sit and enjoy every morsel of your donut and is clean and modern. Staff is friendly and very helpful by explaining what is inside each donut and customer choices. The downside is the high cost for each donut so match your eyeballs with your wallet when you order. Definitely check this place out!More

No lineups on the weekend and chill staff make this place a go-to. The range of flavours was crazy and they even had one with cbd oil which was interesting. Certainly live up to their slogan of 'donuts for adults'.. worth checking out

Come here instead of Voodoo. Voodoo is a gimmick and not even that good. These are gourmet doughnuts. They come with a big price tag but they're all delicious. Just skip the cinnamon sugar. It's not worth the price.
