Raven & Rose offers classic British Isles cuisine and fine cocktails in Portland's historic Ladd Carriage House. Our dining room menu draws inspiration from the Irish and British countryside, driven by simple, pristine ingredients and exceptional execution in an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming and attentive. The Rookery-our upstairs bar-provides an exclusive hideaway for sipping cocktails inspired by the building's exuberant history. In our effort to capture the essential Portland spirit, we've created a space locals can enjoy again and again, as well as a haven for travelers who want the comfort of a hearth and a satisfying meal. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Visited during happy hour only (upstairs) and were happy with the drinks, food, and service. Drinks were unique and the food we chose was good. The only complaint that kept us from giving a 5 is prices are still fairly high for a happy hour.
Joined friends who had traveled to meet us with us East Coast dwellers. Great food, best Cheese Sandwich and Tomato soup that I have EVER had, simple but delicious!!! Others had the specials which they too raved about! All in all a wonderful place to...More
My wife, grandson and I went there for dinner on 5/2. To begin, The Oysters on the half shell were described as being from some river up near Seattle. Say What? The next obvious question: are the sea scallops from a creek? My wife ordered the...More
in town for a conference and meet some friends here in the evening for cocktails. Cool space with nice vibe. Would be a cool spot to take a date or as we did meet for a few drinks in this historic carriage house. We did...More
Just went with a buddy on a Saturday night ( no happy hour on Saturdays) we each got a 12.00 scotch 'cause it's that kind of place. Live jazz was playing in the upstairs. Also had a Welsh rarebit for the munchies. Very clubby. Very...More
My companion and I had dinner there recently. Started at a table in the main dining room. The chairs were too low for the table, and uncomfortable, so we moved to the bar. Again, the stools were a bit too low to be comfortable. We...More
Good cocktails — no complaints about the old fashioned and the manhattan. Pork Chop was very tender. Although the place got busier, we never saw staff feel any pressure.
Give the chicken liver pate a try. We were impressed.
Always a fan of a fancy cocktail & this place didn’t disappoint. Beautiful space overall, but only enjoyed the upstairs bar - super spacious, with taller tables, lower tables, lounge area near fire, and a pool table. Would definitely return on my next trip to...More
I love the cozy loft bar with fireplace and many of the bar appetizers and small plate dinners. They offer excellent unique cocktails, a good wine selection and an eclectic live music schedule. The main cons are it is a tad too popular after work...More
Between the staff, the menu, the atmosphere, the eclectic full bar, and a relaxing vibe I truly couldn’t ask for a better restaurant experience. Although this was only a quick Portland visit, I would come here every day - just to relax - if I...More

The high table in the center of the dining room that some of our other guests have mentioned here on TripAdvisor is a great spot to feel the ambiance of the restaurant! Really anywhere in the central part of the room is great for that!
Personally I love our steak tartare, Carriage House salad, & buttermilk-fried rabbit. Our fish is always fresh and local also and has an ever changing set depending on the season. I hope these are all helpful answers and that we'll see you soon!
