RingSide has the kind of atmosphere that's made for romance, linen tablecloths, attentive waitstaff, a nice view by the window. To make it even better, the food is excellent. My husband and I both enjoyed the cioppino which was especially good on a cold and rainy evening. The menu is extensive, I wish I had beenhungry to try more!

We wanted to have a nice, relaxing dinner before a concert at the Schnitzer Concert Hall. Ringside on Park Ave. provides free parking and it was within easy walking distance of the concert. We were treated like royalty at this restaurant, enjoying our booth with a view of the city lights. Our server was attentive without being distracting. The food... More

Service was excellent. Everyone raved about their food. I was disappointed in mine, but that's because I didn't understand what I was ordering.

This restaurant is aptly called RingSide Fish House! There are other RingSide restaurants in Portland all are owned by the same group! Now to the point of the name, I was expecting a much more varied seafood menu. I was expecting to see fish at a 4/5 to 1 ratio on the menu and that was not the case. It... More

Ever need a place to eat (business or family) that is a guaranteed "go to"? This is it. Fish is great... meat is great... service is stellar... dessert / wine are good. Have been here twice in the last month -- Gabriel was the server both times. It's a bit spendy -- but worth the dollars (it's a splurge). Be... More

The RingSide fish house was recommended by the Tourist Bureau, and was good. Nice upscale restaurant. We were a bit abashed by the menu prices, but were able to take advantage of happy hour drinks and bar food, and had a fine, if a bit light meal, at a reasonable price. Food was hot and good, service was excellent, and... More

We met cousins for dinner at the Ringside Fish House. We tried the steelhead, crab risotto, and surf and turf. Everything was excellent. Our servers were very attentive. They have a very good prix fixe menu from 5 to 6.

We were surprised that the waiter had zero wine knowledge. Given that the it is high-end restaurant and they have a decent wine list that the waiter was unable to provide quality wine advice even on Oregon wines. The food was good. Definitely order the onion rings which were super-good. Mains were the fish stew and filet mignon. The steak... More

Wanted to go to a nice place with an old friend and roommate from school 40 plus years ago and this fit the bill. It did not disappoint in terms of the menu, but who buys $2500 and $3500 bottles of wine? Many selections were in the hundreds of dollars. What's the markup on this? I don't know about you... More
