Really cool place!! Nice atmosphere! It has an industrial look. Good coffee and free wifi, though it was very cold.

Arguably the best coffee in town - this was our third visit to Coava, our first at the Grand location. As previous reviewers stated, a cavernous, industrial type space yet limited seating options. Coava is for a true coffee connoisseur - pared back menu (limited) yet fabulous at what they do. Baristas were very helpful (willing to answer questions) one... More

We visited the shop based on articles written in the Oregonian and were glad we did. Very little signage on the exterior and the windows also host the name of the bamboo furniture shop that they share the space with. The interior space is cavernous and there isn't an over abundance of seating so the feeling of intimacy that exists... More

Popped in after attempting the rather nearby flea market. Had a rather long wait for 2 cappuccinos. Coffee was good, but it wasn't that crowded, the wait time was way too long. Was good to get out of the rain. Big space could use more seating.

A cool coffee shop combined with a bamboo furniture workshop - interesting combination. The coffee was pricey but amazingly good; we tried several espressos from different suppliers and also bought some beans which make a great brew at home as well.

Since Portland is very big on coffee I decided to try this location. For one I love the set up. The old lathe machines and other factory machines as décor and tables is awesome. I ordered a cappuccino and a croissant. The croissant was cold but the coffee...DELISH! So good I made another trip, out of my way, the next... More

This is my favorite coffee roaster in Portland. Great coffees available and the staff was friendly. A little expensive but worth it.I will be ordering their coffee often.

I've been at their Hawthorne shop plenty of times & like it quite a bit. Imagine my dismay when I asked at the counter what tea they had, and the guy said, "None. We only have coffee." I'm not sure I've ever had that experiences in Portland before. He wasn't that apologetic or that concerned either. So, I bought a... More
