As soon as I walked in to this bar, I sensed a negative energy. Initially I thought the barman dressed in a leather harness, skirt & full make-up could be fun until he talked to me in an aggressive & rude manner. A truly horrid man who made me feel uncomfortable. I couldn't get out of the place quickly enough.... More

I lived in Portland from 2000-2002. During this time, the bar was not friendly to women. We were not allowed more than once because of expired license or other silly reasons, even though we were clearly over forty. I was back in Portland and tried to give it another try, we were with attractive MEN, still HORRIBLE. We got to... More

Went here with friends for the weekly drag show. It was a lot of fun. Drinks were good. There was a guy who was a little creepy earlier in the evening but that was just one person, everyone else is pretty nice.

It seems the reviews for CCs really depend on one's orientation and experience. This is being written by a straight guy that is cool and comfortable with the gay scene (lived in SFO). I had never been to a gay club, and am normally one of those that loathes crowds, so for me to go here on a Saturday night... More

Had an incredibly memorable night at CC's, just felt fun, lively, intimate and surreal the way gay bars used to feel when I was younger. Great time!

we arrived during Pride, so the long wait was expected on a Saturday night. No cover was nice, with a variety of cockails available. Average to decent bathrooms. Gogo dancers on the bar. A typical gay club open till 2 am

The drag hostess is the best. Bolivia Carmicheal. Drinks are good. The bar workers could work on their customer service skills. Never a good idea to be too busy to say Hello.

CC Slaughters is the busiest club downtown. Thursday nights, walk around Old Town and China Town, quiet isn't it? Wondering where everyone is? Stroll on over to NW Davis and 3rd and you'll find the party. Why Slaughters? Several reasons; a professional, accommodating staff lead by an amazing manager who knows how to build a solid team; great drink specials;... More
