Lots of noodle options. Nothing really struck us as outstanding. The noodles were very thick and a bit doughy. Overall the food was a bit stodgy and heavy. Service was prompt and while crowded, we were seated fairly quickly.

Unfortunately, we didn't love the service or the noodles at Frank's. We were really looking forward to our meal here but it was not what we had hoped. The noodles didn't have good flavor, our dishes were a bit bland. I'm glad so many other...people enjoy it but for us this was just okay and we wouldn't return.More
Like many places in Portland, the atmosphere is of a neighborhood rerstaurant while the food is top-notch. If like me you enjoy the texture of a handmade noodle, this is your place. everything I've tried on the menu has been very good, but I always...gravitate back to the noodle dishes.More
Sauce thick & salty. Beans undercooked. Noodles would be best in a broth, too doughy as a side. Timing on ingredients just seemed off. Service was excellent though. And the flavors hinted at getting it right. Maybe I was there and had a new cook?
Must the food 5 star? probably not, the value was so I will give it 5 stars because it was a satisfying lunch that tasted great and did not cost that much. Get the noodle bowls. Small place without atmosphere but you are here for...the noodle dishes. I would think these meals work OK for take out.More
Frank's Noodle House was awesome. The noodles are made daily and the broth and other ingredients used made this noodle bowl one of the best. If you're in Portland go say hi to Frank and try his noodle soup!
What a great find, the food and service ar great. Nice portions, delicious seasoning, semi healthy choices and nice staff. The noodle dishes are delicious and the soups are good.
After watching Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, we picked up food to go from Frank's. Our choices were a noodle dish with chicken and Cashew Chicken. Both were fantastic. We will be going to the Beaverton location to eat at the restaurant soon.
So - we moved to this neighborhood about 8 months ago and finally stopped for lunch. Seemingly a perennial fav we were excited to get our slurp on. Sadly we were quite disappointed. Service was fine - it fact perhaps a bit too rushed. Lunch...comes with a cup of either Hot & Sour or Egg Drop soup. We were barely seated when the soup arrived - we both opted for the H&S. Meh. Seemed like they went a bit heavy on the cornstarch as it had that weird almost gelatinous feel tho spice level was nice. On to the hand pulled noodles (beef for me, shrimp for the hubster). The noodles themselves were absolutely traditional hand pulled - chewy with good texture. But there was absolutely no taste to them. I ordered spice level 3, hubby 4 (highest level). Hardly felt any heat so all you really ended up with was heat-hot noodles and an oily slightly spiced one note dish. They provide a complimentary small side of daikon and kimchi - the kimchi was oddly sweet, almost like catsup. So bottom line, Frank tanked for us.More
I visited this place for the first time for a business lunch meeting and I was shocked at the taste of the food as well as the large portions of the plates. I work around the corner from Frank's Noodle House and probably drive by...the place every other day but never visited the place. I had the beef and broccoli with the hand made noodles and it was amazing! I definitely recommend this place and looking forward to bringing my Wife.More
