Nice atmosphere, food was very good and fresh. Parking can be a little difficult and must pay to park. Cost was a bit high (for us, mayby others wouldnt think so), over $120 for 4 people. We are visiting Portland so not used to the...higher prices, parking issues etc so my opinion may not be relevant to city dwellers.More

We stopped by for a late lunch and were very impressed by the quality of the food and the quick service. I had a chicken noodle soup with delicious handmade noodles, and my daughter had a chicken curry that was mild but flavorful. The portions...were large enough that we had an entire meal for the next day. Highly recommended!!More

While in Portland, Oregon recently we were watching DD&D's and saw Guy visiting Frank's Noodle House, and it was only a few blocks away. We visited and we were not disappointed. The service and food were great.

Hands down the best noodles I had in a long time. I had the chicken stir fry noodle and homemade dumplings for appetizer. The price is very reasonable as well. Talked to someone who had beef and they wished they would’ve ordered the chicken instead....Need wasn’t tender, a little tough, but still good. I had no spice in mine. The spice level can be adjusted to your liking. I will be back to try some of the other food, it looked all so yummy and tasty.More

Service was friendly and attentive. But the food… The orange chicken was drowned in a sauce that consisted of orange concentrate or whatever that might have been. It was heavily perfumed and I was unable to eat it. The cashew chicken had the same problem....A perfumed, somewhat chemical overdose of what could have been teriyaki. The kids did a better choice with fried rice with chicken resp. Stir-fried noodles with chicken. That was just a little bland, but edible. And don’t go for the Chai with cream. Somehow the taste matched that of the other meals: very strange, but unfortunately not very tasty at all.More

Noisy, cramped eating area, lackluster service. Food was one note and sauce tasted like it was watered down.

We were the only out-of-towners in the room. Good sign. The noodles are the star of the show. Doesn’t matter what you pair with them. The dumpling soup is also outstanding.

Service was good. I had chicken noodle soup. The noodles were great. Reminded me of egg flower noodles my grandma used to make. If your unsure of spice level go with mild.

Lots of noodle options. Nothing really struck us as outstanding. The noodles were very thick and a bit doughy. Overall the food was a bit stodgy and heavy. Service was prompt and while crowded, we were seated fairly quickly.

Unfortunately, we didn't love the service or the noodles at Frank's. We were really looking forward to our meal here but it was not what we had hoped. The noodles didn't have good flavor, our dishes were a bit bland. I'm glad so many other...people enjoy it but for us this was just okay and we wouldn't return.More

Like many places in Portland, the atmosphere is of a neighborhood rerstaurant while the food is top-notch. If like me you enjoy the texture of a handmade noodle, this is your place. everything I've tried on the menu has been very good, but I always...gravitate back to the noodle dishes.More

Sauce thick & salty. Beans undercooked. Noodles would be best in a broth, too doughy as a side. Timing on ingredients just seemed off. Service was excellent though. And the flavors hinted at getting it right. Maybe I was there and had a new cook?
