Finally made it here. Small place, as many here in Portland are. Food was very good, service was meh. Perhaps I am spoiled, but when I get a meal delivered, I expect the server to re-cap what I am eating. They did not do this, and when I asked, I was told the wrong thing. I believe that the 'front... My husband and I dined here while visiting Portland--had read good reviews and were intrigued by the wood grill. There were so many things that we wanted to try that we ended up sharing multiple apps and an entree. The tomato and peach salad was absolutely delicious and the mussels were so good that we ordered a second serving!! Delicious... More

This place is not to be missed. It's cool, creative, friendly and the food is absolutely fabulous. They have amazing cocktails, and a creative menu of delicious food. Everything is wood grilled deliciousness. Don't forget to try the cookie.

Wonderful cozy restaurant with a great patio for dining al fresco. Three of us shared salads and entrees, each prepared with fresh local food, beautifully presented. The fresh heirloom tomato and peach salad was a wonderful explosion of harvest season flavors and the albacore tuna medallions, an Oregon specialty, were fabulous!

We recently had dinner at Ned Ludd in Portland. This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and is quite charming. It was a delightful dinner. I had the trout and my husband had the pork. We each enjoyed our meals which were beautifully presented and accompanied with a fine selection of wine and beer. Prices are reasonable for a... More

Love the food here! We had: 1. Hummus with home made chips - I normally don't like hummus, but this is an exception! 2. Flat Bread 3. Salad with Smoked Trout 4. Oven Roasted Nardello peppers - this is the only one that I didn't quite like 5. Whole Roasted Trout with Salad - 😍 6. Mussels, lemongrass, corn, pickled... More

Among the many good restaurants in Portland -- and of the four at which we had dinner -- Ned Ludd was clearly the best. It is not the easiest place to get to, located a distance from downtown, but it is worth the trip. The food is simply, but wonderfully prepared. Our meals were really terrific. And the space is... We ate for the first time in July 2016 during our annual visit to Portland. We will definitely go back. There were four of us and we were all pleased with our food choices. The service was excellent and the atmosphere interesting.

We loved Ned Ludd. The "Chef's choice gave us several entries to share and try, each one more interesting than the next. The salad's were wonderful, the pate excellent, fish was unbelievable.
