The food was good but overpriced. Due to COVID offered order then be seated. Didn’t realize there was more restaurants on the river front. Would have chosen something else. Staff was friendly.

Had a great dinner here. Some of the best scallops I’ve ever had. Food was made in a good time. The toast was actually quite delicious.
In the lounge with access to both the “Happy Hour” and the restaurant menus. We ordered from both. The house-selected wines were excellent (and a bargain); the Clam chowder, crab cake, salad, ceviche and fries - ditto. We’ll be back.
My adult daughter and I had a wonderful brunch before the play last Sunday. Very good food and a wonderful atmosphere with a view of the river! I parked near the Keller and walked to the restaurant, but she found a metered spot by the...restaurant that allowed her to stay until after the play for an easy exit. We both enjoyed tasty, healthy juice mixtures. She had a great brisket burger with fries. I had a really good quinoa chia hot cereal including bananas, nuts and other tasty toppings. It was just the right place for us. Highly recommendMore
Thank you for dining with us at King Tide. We were so happy to hear that we exceeded your expectations. We hope to see you again soon!
I made a reservation for a window seating so my wife and I could view the Christmas Ship fleet. Long story short, Two weeks before this evening I booked a room and dinner reservation at the hotel. I explained our need for a window table...and was assured we would have a table with an appropriate view. We arrived on time and were told that we wouldn’t get a window table. I explained the situation to the manager, told him we have a room at the hotel and that we made the reservation weeks in advanced. He told me others had made reservations well before us and we could either take a table without a river view or go sit in the bar. I called them out. They simply messed up and wouldn’t own up to their mistake. We went to our room and watched the ships parade. We went to Mama Mia’s Italian restaurant as an alternate. We were served great food and after hearing about our misfortune with King Tide Fish and Shell, our server comped us free dessert. I live in Portland and will never go to King Fish again. The Riverplace hotel is awesome, but the service at their restaurant is unnecessarily pretentious and extremely rude.More
Hi Brad, Thank you for providing feedback on your experience. We use feedback, such as yours, to continuously make improvements to our guest experience. That being said, as one of the few restaurants with a water front view during this time of year we are...More
For dinner, when we asked for some advice on their wine list, the waitress had no clue and there was nobody with any knowledge. Given the restaurant is positioned towards the high end it astonishing the staff had zero knowledge of their wine list. The...food itself was really outstanding. We had a variety of mains and appetizers. All were really outstanding. However, they seemed to be understaffed and the service levels were extremely poor. It really ruins the good food. We ate many breakfasts in the hotel and the food was quite good. Except for a few mornings, again, the service was poor. The exception was the morning hostess who was so outstanding. She was always friendly and so helpful. If they could clean up the service issues, the restaurant would be outstanding.More

My husband and I were looking for a relaxed place by the water for a light dinner - and opted for King Tide. While we were dressed casually, some other diners were dressed up - no matter to the waitstaff, though. We shared the roasted...beets (out of this world good!), crab cakes(close second favorite), and fish and chips - plus a sauv blanc snd a worthy street ipa - and were quite full and very satisfied. Highly recommend.More

The chef did an excellent job of preparing the meal! I had the Salmon with riced cauliflower and almonds. Also deviled egg with crab and salmon. And half dozen raw Tide Point Oysters from Washington state. The drink was a special for the night; Gin...w/peppermint, lime, honey, & lavender bitters. It was delicious.More

A nice little place near our hotel. I ordered the plank halibut and it didn't disappoint. The salsa verde sauce was tasty. The sweet potato creme brulee was some of the best I've ever had. Apple caviar on top complimented it perfectly. A very nice...meal.More
Upon returning to Portland after a long day visiting Cannon Beach we opted for this restaurant for a nicer dining option since it was our last evening visiting family. My adult kids love this restaurant and we’re excited for us to try too. I was...a little disappointed with my dish as My taste buds envisioned something entirely different but the rest of my party was happy and enjoyed their meals. I found it to be a bit pricey but it is a pleasant atmosphere. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. The highlight of the meals was the truffle mashed potatoes which we ordered as a side and clam chowder as an appetizer. Enjoy!! 😊More
