Farm to table fair. I had breakfast there during my stay at the Nines. Also had a great steak with amazing mac&cheese on the side. Excellent craft whiskey selection. Knowledgeable staff. Friendly service.

We have missed Urban Farmer as it had become one of our favorite restaurants. It's a difficult time here in Portland, COVID, protests and now forest fires. Receiving the email announcing Urban Farmer's return (in limited fashion) was fabulous news. We had dinner the second...weekend it was open. Althought the menu was limited the food and the service were not. Nick was our server, he was attentive, gracious, personable (in true Urban Farmer fashion). The burger was perfect, the vibe cool, elegant but casual. Music to match. Can't wait for Urban Farmer to come back firing on all cylinders.More

I love farm to table, and we stayed at The Nines. It was an easy decision to eat here. The food is really good. The service is really good. I'm sure it feels more intimate during a dinner service, but that is lost in lobby's...daylight.More

Urban Farmer is one of the best steakhouses in Downtown portland located on the 8th floor of the ultra hip Nines Hotel - NOT on the roof as the main photo as shown here. Appealing decor. Nice ambiance for downtown business meetings or that special...occasion. All the steaks are fresh farm to table with a wide variety of wagyu steaks. Sides are best ordered and served family-style for the table, they bring out cornbread cooked in a can that was quite good. the creme Brule was unique and very tastyMore

I was really impressed by the seating near the check-in desk (at The Nines hotel). Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We had drinks and shared different plates off the happy hour menu and everything was so good.

Urban Farmer is in the Nines Hotel. It is a nice place for breakfast, with a very good setting, fine food and good services. Prices were reasonable too.

I’ve had breakfast here before...the eggs Benedict is the best I ever had. Dinner was up to par with breakfast. Had the grilled octopus as an appetizer-can be over or under cooked easily but they did it perfectly. Had the grass-fed New York and twice...baked potato dish and both were outstanding. Good wine by the glass list as well as bottle. Service was equal to the meal. Very nice decor and atmosphere...More

Steak selection is amazing with all types of tastes for everyone. The service was excellent and on top of things at all times (i.e. keeping my water filled and drinks in my hand). The Brussel sprouts and various sides we tried were all excellent. Would...definitely like to try other dishes my next time around.More

Great attentive wait staff. The risotto was very good as was the ice cream (toffee). They grow their own mushrooms; amazing!

Service was excellent. Food was not to my standard. Chicken was over size seemed like a GMO chicken. nuts were full of sugar. I have lots of allergies and the menu did not offer any choice for me to eat healthy.

No way. We found the service disinterested, and the place itself is very self absorbed, but it wasn't that slow.

I follow a gluten free diet and was able to easily eat gluten free at Urban Farmer. Some restaurants say food is gf and then I have a reaction, but not at UF. All clear!
