About
Nostrana—literally 'ours' —invokes local. Simple food from honest ingredients. Pure. Regional. Italian. Opened in 2005, Nostrana is Chef/Owner Cathy Whims' love letter to Italy. This is a restaurant built on relationships: with our amazing farmers and purveyors, our dedicated staff, and of course with you, our guest. We hope to offer something timeless and authentic in a beautiful space, the regional specialties of Italy deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest. We strive to be better every day.

I visited Nostrana in September for dinner. The Italian dishes and wine are very nice. The room are full and lively. The location is far from the station or bus stop and it was hard to find car parking area.

I've never had any kind of meal here except a delicious one. I must is the Nostrana Radicchio salad, and the new key and bolognese sauce are wonders. The outdoor patio is a lovely place to sit in the summer, and the service is always...More

LOVE this place. Some of the best Italian food in the city of Portland. Great bar, fantastic service, outdoor tables (if you're there in the summer months). Would recommend this to anyone looking for great, creative food.

We were in Portland for over a week and this was our favorite restaurant! The food and the service were fantastic. Their pastas are all freshly made.

That kinda says it all. The room is nice, the waiters could definitely be a little more welcoming but the prize goes (as it often does) to the writer of the menu. It all sound great. But good look finding any Porcini in the dishes...More
