We celebrated our anniversary here last night with our family and the food was delicious. The service was good and the ambiance was nice. The personal pizza was pretty big, so we wound up bringing some home for today's lunch. I'd recommend Firehouse for a great, laid back dinner.

To be honest, we did not feel this restaurant deserved the high ratings we had seen. It was good: a good location, good service, nice and cozy decor. The best dish of all was the meatballs and kale, but my trout was ordinary and the onions mainly burnt. Two of us ordered pizza, also burnt though the waitress called it... More

I don't eat pizza--although it looked great and my dinner companion certainly enjoyed it--but I found plenty of good things to choose from for dinner. They do a choice of three starters for $14 and this made for an excellent dinner for me. They really understand beets here. They don't have a huge choice of beers (for Portland) but good ones... We missed getting to try this restaurant last visit because we didn't have weekend reservations...get them well in advance!. This visit we made sure and it was a wonderful surprise that our daughter who lives nearby arranged. Appetizers were fried olives and the cauliflower dishes, second courses were romaine hearts, mussels and pizza margherita, main dishes were hanger steak, cod... More

OMG! A friend wanted us to take him to Firehouse for his birthday. We were there mid-week and it was packed! Great beer selection and the BEST pizza ever! Delicious! Authentic Neapolitan style. The yummiest of crusts - thin and crispy but a little chewy at the same time. And great salads as an appetizer! The table next to us... More

I recently booked the Firehouse for a group of 30 people. Was reluctant at first since it said "family dinning", however it turned out great. They have a menu to choose from and had the pizza as starters, then the Chicken & Beef for the main dish. Most people were full after the starters. Then the mains were extremely tasty.... More

My husband and I dined at Firehouse one night, and came back again the next night because the pizza was that good! It is as close to VPN certified Neapolitan pizza as you can get. We tried the mushroom and the Margharita pizzas on separate visits. The seasonal spring salad was delicious as well. The small plates are very small... More

The food tasted alright but the portion was super tiny. Both me and my partner were still quite hungry after dinner. The meals were pricy. It was dark and noisy. I will not go back there again.

Firehouse uses locally sourced fresh food. They say that a lot in Portland, the food doesn't always taste like it. IMO Firehouse can lay claim to the statement after our meal tonight. We started with two small plates, fried cauliflower and lemon creme fraiche (I wondered if fried cauliflower would be greasy - it isn't and this was amazing) and... More

This place is an old converted firehouse which lends itself to quite an interesting ambience. The Hanger steak entree was a hit with our group. A very nice option I the "3 course dinner" which gives you an appetizer, salad and entree. The roasted broccoli is great starter
