Deschutes was within walking distance of my hotel. I went twice. The beer was the start and the food average. The atmosphere was outstanding. I would have liked to sit outside but it was too popular and I was not willing to wait.

Visited here while on business. What I loved about this place; 1. The pretzel is OMG worthily, 2. Corn tart big surprise 3. Decor is traditional PNW, and I love that, 4. Beer is tasty, and although highly produced still has a craft beer style. What was not my favorite was the noise level. Very difficult to hear people at... More

Always a great spot to meet and eat. Love their beer samplers and their meat/cheese board and many other delicious dishes. We keep going back again and again

Good downtown location...they offer a sampler of beers, which is a great way to try a few beers. Had good service even though it was crowded. I had the sausage "small plate" but it was plenty with my beer. Strong recommendation!

We walked by without knowing about it and decide to try. The place was packed and kept that way all the time. Seems to be a very trendy spot in the Pearl neighborhood. And most of all, it is good! Excellent beers and good dishes.

We have been here before, I keep trying to get the cold smoked ribeye but every time we go there, something off the specials menu pulls me away. I have had a taste of the ribeye from my wife's open face sandwich that used the ribeye so I know that I want it!!!! Any place that can keep me away... More

I stopped in for a lite dinner and of course, beer. The place was packed with people and I found the only seat left. Entire parties of people chose to eat standing up. Even with all of that going on the service was superb. I was totally amazed at how quick and attentive the waitstaff were to so many people... More

A must visit if in Portland and you like Real Ales. Enjoy a flight (small samples of six) and then you can enjoy the variety on offer. Also great bar food Staff very knowledgable and efficient - great service
