Beer is terrific-we also had food and were not as impressed. Would totally visit again, but would stick with the beer.

I met a former colleague from overseas who now lives in Portland and this is THE PLACE for lunch that he took me and my fiancee. WOW! The place was packed on a holiday Monday (Columbus Day) but we only had to wait 10 minutes so we started with their craft beers and were thrilled to find they had Scottish... More

Busy place. Prepare to wait a bit to be seated. The food is awesome! Get the beer sampler. you won't regret it. Some of the best food and drinks we had in Portland. And the servers were really friendly.

Stopped in for lunch on Sunday. After a short wait, we were seated. Very cool interior with carved wood arches. Lots of great beer with several IPA choices. Nice wine selection as well. Food selection was good and our meal was tasty.

I had mac & cheese (because I'm a child at heart) and it was painfully good. They also let you create little samplers of the beer you'd like to try, and the samples themselves were LARGE. We didn't even end up ordering beers! The food was great, service was excellent, and the price wasn't bad at all. I loved the... More

Though Deschutes is not originally from Portland their location here is top notch. We enjoyed the flights and even a taste of their daily special dessert. It as really crowded with the after work happy hour crowd but I am very glad we stopped in.

If you are a hops fan, this place has a great selection of IPAs and related hoppy ales. Food is excellent as well! Décor is old north woods pub feeling. Well worth the stop!

I assumed on a Wednesday night this place wouldn't be packed. I was WRONG! The bar area was choked with those waiting to be seated, so turnover there was fairly fast, but I'd wear comfortable shoes just in case you end up standing. Absolutely stunning wood carvings inside.

Fusing a distinct Northwest and classic Scottish Pub feel, this Pearl District destination has become a convivial gathering spot of beer and food lovers since its 2008 opening. The brew pub's 18 taps feature Deschutes mainstays plus a selection of seasonal and experimental beers developed and brewed on site exclusively for the Portland pub by brewer Ben Kehs. Executive Chef Jill Ramseier heads the kitchen team, crafting classic pub food taken to the next level. Jill matches our brewer's passion, creating dishes from scratch with the best possible local ingredients.
