Had dinner before a play at the Armory next door. Husband had burger and garlic fries. The fries were crispy and yummy! I had the crab sandwich with side sslad. The crab initially didn't look like it was an adequate portion on the plate, but it was pretty much all crab with some red onion. The salad was lack luster,... More

Stopped by to kill some time before meeting friends and had a blast. The beer is great, staff always happy to have a chat and the food good. As I was on my own I sat at the bar as your guaranteed to start a conversation with the person next to you. A great bar.

My flight got delayed so I stopped in for a pretzel and a Black Butte Whiskey (only available at their brew pubs). Love their beers, great food and great bartenders.

A great intro the possibilities in Portland at the start of our vacation. Easily accessed either by tram or foot. Atmosphere was just the right mix of casual and quality. Despite the crowds, we were seated within a quite reasonable time. I had a flight of five beers so as to sample things across the board (I'm an oddity among... More

Deschutes Brewery is located in downtown Portland. We stopped for a break and light lunch. The baked apple, onion and cheese appetizer was delicious.

First off...we love their beer. We also loved the food here - a great menu, more than just l your average "pub fare". Our waiter was a nice guy, and gave us great tips on being tourists in Portland. The ONLY thing that was less than positive was HOW CROWDED it was! That goes to show you how popular Deschutes... More

The beers were fantasic, which is the main drawcard here. The venue itself was more of a restaurant feel than a brewery. Great food but not as cosy as some of the other breweries we visited on our trip to Portland.

I have been coming to Deschutes for years; it is usually the first dinner of any visit to PDX. Tonight I had an amazing cask-conditioned Baltic Porter with a delicious elk burger and the services was great. I walked away with a few bombers of their flagship ales as well....

This is my favourite brewery in Portland. I love the beers. The food is good too. One thing though, is that their actual bar area is pretty small. Its really hard to just go get drinks because its so popular and not that big, it fills up pretty fast. People tend to eat at the few tables that they have... More

Fusing a distinct Northwest and classic Scottish Pub feel, this Pearl District destination has become a convivial gathering spot of beer and food lovers since its 2008 opening. The brew pub's 18 taps feature Deschutes mainstays plus a selection of seasonal and experimental beers developed and brewed on site exclusively for the Portland pub by brewer Ben Kehs. Executive Chef Jill Ramseier heads the kitchen team, crafting classic pub food taken to the next level. Jill matches our brewer's passion, creating dishes from scratch with the best possible local ingredients.
