As a resident of Port Orford I am delighted to have such a wonderful establishment as Redfish for local dining - the food is top-notch and carefully prepared using local fresh ingredients, the art exquisitely unique and the staff and owners absolutely engaging. Combine great faire and service with the beauty of the Pacific Coast and the result is a... More

Redfish was pitched to us as the best place in Port Orford. Well if it isn't its very close! We had a great meal there with a lovely outlook over the sea and very helpful and friendly staff. Lunch the next day was good too!

This place should be called two fish. Why does a place called Redfish have two entrées containing seafood? Secondly, this place does not fit the crowd or town. We saw more people leave than stayed. Too expensive maybe or lack of kid friendly options, not sure. The service was slow and 3 out of 4 of our orders were not... More

We made a reservation the day before and asked for a table by the Windows. There were no other reservations on the list. After we got seated at a nice table, the staff asked us to move because they had made a mistake with the reservation. They sent somebody else had booked our table. So we moved. No offer to... More

We ate here three of our four days on the southern coast. The food was very good. Lunch is good, but dinner is exceptional. The strawberry beet soup was outstanding, as was the rock cod.

We had dinner at this seaside place while we were staying at the WildSpring Guest Habitat a short drive away. The small menu includes both seafood and chicken, beef, etc. Service is excellent - we got good wine pairing advice. A brief whale sighting capped off a lovely evening.

If you go here, go for the view! The restaurant sits out on the edge and over looks the ocean and beach below. We stopped for a late lunch, but I bet it would be even more fabulous at sunset. Food was on the high side, but pretty tasty. We had the salad, with the fish of the day, fish... More

While on the southern Oregon coast a friend and I stopped at Redfish. Went to the gallery which floored me and then into the restaurant and bar for a drink......I didn't want to leave. Great view of Battle Rock and the ocean but the interior is wonderfully designed. The attention to detail left me thinking ' this defines doing it... More

Among the best steamed clams in wine/butter/garlic sauce we've ever had. Went back a second time for the clams and the subtlety flavored, creamy seafood chowder. Other items inconsistent. Amazing wine list ranging from every day to connoisseur level. Reservations recommended for best table views, though we walked in for early dinner (5:30ish) with no problem. Make time to visit... This is the high-end restaurant in Port Orford. It is incredible classy and beautiful and highly influenced by local, talented artists and owners, Chris and Julie Hawthorne. They have a variety of dishes on their menu, with everything always elegantly plated. If you can get a table by a window, try to do so. The views of the beach are... More
