This is a local pub in a small town but has great food. There were 4 of us - 2 had burgers and 2 had the fish and chips. The fish was excellent - a light batter that let the full flavor of the fish shine through, not greasy. The fries were the best I've had in a while -... More

Previously I enjoyed my meals at Prodigal, but today's was less than average. Three of the five of us had bland, boring food. The pasta of the day had no sauce; the veggies looked nice with the pasta, there was no sauce to pull it together. Breaded items were greasy. Our server was random and not at all attentive.

Great beer and convivial atmosphere, although a bit noisy. Had the fish and chips, nicely battered and enough to share.

A great place for dinner and a craft brew in Pendleton! This gem sits in the historic part of "downtown," inside the premises of an old car dealership. Decor is fun, lots to look at--but the food and beer are the real draws here: everything is made right there. Fries and chips are deliciously crispy, wait staff friendly and menu... More

I love onions. They are my favorite vegetable. I love pie. It's my favorite dessert. So an onion tart is the perfect marriage. Their caramelized onion tart was delicious. My husband had the chicken club and their darkest beer, and throughly enjoyed them both. Service was fine and I appreciated the many different styles of tables in the dining room.

Enjoyed our dinner here after a day of traveling. Great onion rings! Only complaint: berry tart for dessert served cold; it would have much more tasty is warmed. Server friendly and efficient, and had nice chat with couple at next table.

My family eats at this outstanding brew pub every week. The place is constantly packed with regular customers. The food is outstanding and made from scratch. The service is also excellent. I would recommend it to tourists.

We discovered Prodigal Son after our lunch spot in La Grande closed. Pendleton is about 4 hours or so from the Boise area, in good weather, so if you start in the morning, this makes a good lunch break. We've been several times over the past few years. The pasta of the day, especially when it features the local goat... More

My dad likes to stop here to eat when he goes through Pendleton, so he brought me here on our way home from Boise. We found out that it’s closed on Mondays. It was noisy inside, so we asked to sit at a picnic table on the sidewalk. It was a warm night with very little traffic, so that worked... More

We stopped in for a quick bite after a long day's drive. They have a good selection of microbrews and decent burgers. We were seated immediately and the service was good. This restaurant is located in an older historic building with high ceilings. The acoustics lend it to be somewhat noisy especially if it's busy, and it was, on the... More
