We have been to The Prodigal Son before and liked it so well that we wanted to return. Unfortunately, this time they were out of the food and beer we wanted. The weather was hot, so we wanted the lightest, lowest ABV beer, which was their golden ale (A Beer Named Sue). SInce they were out of it, we chose... More

This is a very cool place. Excellent food, good beer, and a wonderful bloody mary (add the "meal" to it!).

If burgers and brew are your favorite, then this is the place. It attracts a family vibe with lots of kinds and large groups. Sitting outside was best, given the pleasant weather. Since the restaurant is popular, service is sometimes a little slow.

This place was great! I especially loved the playroom they had set up. My kids were happy and occupied while we waited for our food to come.

We stopped for lunch before taking the Underground Tour and overall weren't disappointed. My husband had the Reuben and thought it was great. My daughter had the calamari tacos and her husband a hamburger and enjoyed them. I had a turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries which were both excellent. Only downside was the soup that came with my sandwich.... More

The place is fun and has a great vibe but the food is hit or miss. I love the calamari tacos and my friend swears the Reuben is the best she's ever eaten. But the burgers and fries aren't always so great and the fish and chips are not good. Ask for recommendations from the server and you will be... More

Pros: The building is old and restored well. The restaurant and bar are welcoming. Brewed beer menu is awesome! We had the saison, the red, and the huckleberry wheat. Very flavorful! Cons: server not very friendly and food was disappointing. We had fish and chips and it was pale, tasteless, and not hot! Disappointing because the menu said it would... More

Casual dining in a cool old building. Food was excellent and creative without being over the top. The Ella brew was tasty for IPA lovers.

We had a nice, quick meal here as we were just passing through. Our hotel recommended it and it was a good recommendation. The service staff is friendly and professional. Service was prompt and the food was good for this type of place. It was, however, very noisy, which is also typical for a brew pub. We were well satisfied with our... More
