We go to the Oar House several times a week. Good food and a variety. From prime rib to burgers. Homemade soups and sauces. Friendly service

The Oar House sits up on a hill and has big windows that overlook the main street and river. It's a fun place to sit and people watch. We were there on a chilly, rainy day so the house-made chili sounded just right. It's topped with Tillamook cheddar and onions and really warms you up. My husband had the fried... More

We stopped here for dinner on one of our recent visits to Pacific City. I had fish and chips and clam chowder while my wife had beef stroganof. The chowder was very good...among the best I've had on the Oregon Coast while the rest of the meal was disappointing.

I had the reuben sandwich and a side salad, my spouse had a salmon burger with home chips. The reuben was excellent but a little smaller than I expected. But it was very tasty: lots of meat and sauce and great bread. The salad was more than satisfactory. The home fried chips were excellent. Order them! The salmon sandwich was also... More

Deserves a better rating than number 9. Service was fast and friendly. Food was great especially for a bar/grill and not terribly overpriced. Would definitely come back and recommend to family and friends.

We were pleased to find that the Oar House was open the day after Christmas. We enjoyed shrimp Louie's and a friendly conversation with owner Jessica. It's always great when you can actually talk with the owner of a business about local news and events.

Decent food but nothing extraordinary. Good service and food arrived fairly quickly. Nice atmosphere. Lots of menu options at reasonable prices.

We had the Alaska amber ale (VERY good), chicken fingers (good the first night but got heartburn from them the second night) and salmon burgers (good). Decent atmosphere, although there is a hidden section when people are playing keno (gambling, I guess) and that was a little seedy. Staff seemed friendly enough. Not sure about the overall quality in terms... More
