I like Japanese food and my wife likes Chinese, and this place delivers in both! Salmon teriyaki bento box was amazing, with a lot of variety, fresh ingredients, and very generous portions! Plus very good service!
Whatever strikes your fancy when it comes to Chinese food--most likely you can fond it here. Great egg rolls, fried rice, pot stickers, etc. My plus one says their hot and sour soup is "the best in the world!" I loved their egg flower soup....Great almond chicken, too. Very much enjoyed their tempura shrimp and vegetables.
Their sweet and sour sauce is wonderful.
The sauteed salmon dinner was excellent.
Very nice servers, quiet atmosphere. Highly recommend!More
This is a fun place to go to, whether with a group of friends or as a couple. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming and food very tasty. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but definitely worth the stop for a nice...meal.More
Have eaten at this restaurant on numerous visits to Newport. The kitchen area is open and appears to very clean which we consider as a major plus. Dining area is also clean and the staff is very friendly. We found the food to be well...above average and we eat at a lot of Chinese restaurants. Prices are very reasonable and the portions of food were very large. We ate all we could and still had enough for two more meals. We believe it is the best Chinese restaurant in the area, at least for the ones we have tried.More
We have been taking our now 13 year old son here since he was an infant in his car seat. He cut his teeth on the egg flower soup! He likes it with a grilled cheese, but we like everything else! The number 4 at...lunch is traditional...love the fresh California rolls and the tempura vegies and shrimp. Also great: the Bento box with the salmon! And the General's chicken. And the lemon chicken! Or the Szechwan chicken or shrimp with vegies when I'm dieting! The owner, Jenny, and all the staff (whom we know on sight!) are so nice. We always chat when we go there. Thank you, Kum Yon's!More
