We stayed at the Hallmark Resort and ate Georgie's food but we ordered it as room service so can't answer many of the questions below about the restaurant itself.
As for the food we found it to be very good. We did not have any of their more complicated dishes. The first night we both had fish and chips, which were not overly breaded or greasy and were generous in size. The second time my wife had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken that she enjoyed and I had the HUGE Georgie burger which was also quite good.
Their prices are on the higher end of mid range, but about what you would expect to pay at a property of this type.

I live in Florence, OR. I had a warranty issue with my vehicle in Newport, OR so I knew I'd have to find a place to grab a meal and hang out while they worked on it. I'd heard about Georgie's and figured it was time to give them a try. As I approached the entrance I was greeted warmly and as these are Covid-19 times everyone was wearing face coverings. I was taken to my table with a great view of the ocean and I was assured by the way my server took my order, asking if I wanted certain items (condiments, etc.), that every precaution was being taken to present a thoroughly antiseptic eating environment. Clean is fine but how was their food? Exceptional is the answer! My first visit was Monday June 29th (2020) and my breakfast experience was so thoroughly satisfying that I came back two days later as my vehicle required further attention. My server was Tess both times and I'll be sure and ask for her in future visits too, she was just that right amount of attentive to my needs but not hovering. She assured me I was welcome as I expressed concern about hanging out too long waiting for a call from the dealership. It was a thoroughly satisfying dining experience. Now I know where to go when I'm in Newport!

Absolutely the best clamchowder on the coast. we have tried a ton and it is THE best..
our server was fast, courteous and made us feel at home. the view of the ocean is great and Cassie the hostess was so eager to hear how we liked the chowder, that she came to our table after we had eaten to get our opinion. We will reccommend to our friends when they are traveling to Newport.

They have white and whole grain gluten free bread options. The Small GF slices do make the sandwiches a bit smaller than their conventional sandwiches and you do pay 1.00 more for the GF bread which is pretty standard. The tunamelt was VERY TASTY, the bread held together well and didn’t crumble apart as so many Gf breads do. I had the tomato on the side to reduce extra moisture on the bread. This worked well.
It was 11.25 plus 1.00 for GF bread. It came with 1 side. I had potato salad which was mustardy and yummy.
Service was excellent. Attentive, helpful and courteous. I recommend.

Really overpriced for very mediocre food. We ate here bc of all the reviews and it was our 1st anniversary. We were really disappointed & our waitress wasn’t very friendly at all and never came back to check on us or refill our drinks. We tried it a couple of times because you could order room service through the hotel and we wanted to be sure we gave it a fair shot but each time we were disappointed

A gorgeous view of the ocean and excellent food. The coconut prawns are flavorful and quite filling and the Diablo seafood pasta is the perfect blend of seafood and pasta. I highly recommend sitting in the bar if Kylie and Maria are working, the drinks are delicious and if my local bar had employees like these two I would be a regular.

Due to the Corona virus shut down, we were able only to order take out at Georgie’s in Newport in April. Our seafood dishes and clam chowder were delicious. We returned in May to dine inside and again the food was well prepared and Chef Alfredo emailed the recipe for Scampi Piccata, my favorite dish at Georgie’s. Our nice waitress took my email address to arrange the details. Thank you both for the favor. We love the food, the ocean view, and the service at this restaurant. Oh, and the crab cakes are so, so good.

Went to Georgie's today for birthday celebration, enjoyed the bar and Ms Tessa's fabulous talents at drink mixing. Had the seafood sautee which was a feast of fish of various kinds in light butter broth with mixed veggies and garlic bread. Wife has exceptional fish n chips. Drinks were Spanish Coffee and Irish Coffee so smooth and perfect that one could have downed a dozen before diving to the floor (which of course did not happen). Relaxing and fun with great dessert; Many Thanks for the Birthday Dessert!!! See you all again very soon.

For supposedly somewhat upscale restaurant the food was extremely disappointing. Ordering parmesan-crusted halibut should be fresh halibut not preformed and hard as a rock. Had to use a knife to break through the crust and then the Halibut itself with a bit rubbery and overdone. And the garlic mashed potatoes were paste. That was a $33 meal which fortunately they did take off our bill since my husband couldn't eat it. I had a shrimp dish that was okay. Came with broccoli is a side which wasn't cooked quite enough. The baked potato was good which is sad if that's all you can really say about a restaurant. Our waitress was great.

We ate breakfast as a family of 5 for $45, this never happens, My wife and I had enough left over to eat for lunch the next day. Service was excellent, Tess was on top of anything we needed, put in our children order first as we requested, had more water without asking, was nice to our rambunctious kids. We wanted to go here for dinner but they were booked. My one suggestion would be to open up more tables, I have been to several restaurants in the past few weeks and none of them are following the stupid capacity "requirement".

My sister ordered the Salmon salad which was served with a Marion Berry BBQ sauce. We all loved it. She asked to have a take out carton and I wondered if the chef would give us the recipe. He did! This is probably the third time my wife and I have eaten at Georgie's the past some years, but it's our first time to eat there during a pandemic. So, I'll get to the good food in a second, but first let me just say that the staff at Georgie's did a very nice job in making all us customers feel like they had not only the best interests of their staff in mind, but us customers, too, by maintaining social distance, wearing masks and gloves, etc. Nicely done Georgie's!
Ah, what was I going to talk about? Oh yeah, the food. Wonderful! This was our first "quality" restaurant meal since the pandemic occurred. Up to this we've been at home eating the fare offered by my wife and I at Chez Drake. Let me tell you what a pleasure it was to eat a great meal prepared by someone else and - get this - no dishes to wash! Oh yeah, the drinks are great, too!
I had a wonderful habanero margarita, that was a very nice pour! I love that! The waitress ( who wore a mask and gloves) looked at me and warned, "It's spicy." I appreciated the caution, but it wasn't necessary, because I love spice! The drink was satisfying and spicy, but I could've taken it spicier. :)
I ordered the stuffed salmon and have decided I need to make that at home. It was so good! I thought a 6oz filet might be a bit on the light side, but it wasn't. It filled me up. Of course, the dreamy garlic mash potatoes helped! My wife ordered the fettuccine. It seemed slightly on the sweet side, but my wife scarfed it down, so I guess it was just right.
So, thank you Georgie's for taking good care of us last night and making us feel that we were in capable hands!
We will certainly be back again!

We were elated to return to one our favorite restaurants amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and we were not disappointed in terms of safety precautions nor exceptional meal prep and service. Todd was our server. He was friendly, attentive, and was careful in his presentation.. donning mask and gloves. We ordered Eggs Benedict and Corned Beef Hash. Both dishes were exceptional! The deliciousness of the hollendaise sauce was only matched by the quality of the flavorful center cut of ham. The corned beef hash was a delightful mix of seasoned potatoes covered with melted cheese, generous skices of red and green peppers, plus tender chunks of corned beef topped with eggs over easy that created a mouthwatering flavor explosion that was a treat to eat. Well done! Oh, and the view is spectacular. Highly recommend.

due to the Corona Virus, Georgie's is doing take out only. they are featuring a limited menu with a good selection of dishes. they didn't have my favorite deep fried shrimp, so I ordered halibut fish and chips instead. my wife's favorite Diablo bites were ordered for her. both of our meals we great, but we did miss the ambiance of the dining room. call in order, leave your contact telephone number and they will call you when order is ready. you then go to the front door and a waiter takes your credit card and returns with your food. there are blue lines on the ground keeping you a safe distance from the waiter and other customers.

That was so good, I am not sure I can find the words to describe it. We had read some good reviews about this place but it exceeded our expectations. I had the shrimp in garlic and pesto sauce and it came with a big warm chunk of fresh bread to soup up the sauce. The shrimp were divine, the sauce unbelievable, but that piece of bread! OMG! So good!!! I enjoyed the whole meal tremendously. Amaziiiing!
Highly recommend!!! Reservation a must!
