Older lady, servicing the only occupied table in the restaurant. We waited, once seated she basically left us alone while taking care of the other table and other duties. Finally, after about 10 - 15 min. took our order. Which we didn't understand since there...was no one else for her to wait on. She wasn't polite and the food was mediocre at best. I've had many great meals at other Mazatlan Restaurant's. When we were done with our meal she took another 15 - 20 min. clearing the other table, reseting it and sweeping the floor. Definitely won't be eating there again.More

We were spending one night in Newport on our way home. After all the tourist traffic we were late getting there so it was about 7:45pm before we got to eat dinner. We saw this restaurant and was eager to have good Mexican food. We...were greeted by a young man with a mask and seated promptly. He brought us chips and salsa and water. There was a table of 6 adults in the center of the room and 3 people in the corner booth and 2 of us. Our chips and salsa and water were gone by the time the waitress took our order, she was not friendly. She spent all her time doting over the center table and ignored all the rest of us. The food was good, but we were never asked if we wanted more water, or anything else. I kept trying to catch her eye so we could get a box to take our leftovers with us, but she never once looked at us or returned to our table until she brought the bill. The price of the food wasn't cheap, the service should be a lot better than it is. We won't be back.More

The chips are thin and crisp, perfect with salsa and bean dips served on the side. The menudo soup is one of the best. Nice plates of food consistently offered at reasonable prices.

This is your typical Mexican American restaurant, clean, good food good service and reasonable pricing. When I was working I would eat lunch there on a regular basis.

My family went to this restaurant and was greeted with poor service. The waitress rushed us through our menu and walked away rudely. When the hot plates were brought out she placed the hot plate right in front of my 1year old daughter. Sadly my...daughter touches the plate and was burned before I could move the plate. What waitress put a hot plate right in front of a baby? I was very upset and told the waitress that I was not paying for the full bill and that I would pay half. She told me it was my fault! She rudely told me never to come back. I will never visit this place again nor will I reccomend this place to anybody. The food sucked anyway!More

Stopped in for lunch. Our server was a very nice girl who made sure our lunch was a pleasant experience. We ordered only one meal and shared it (were hungry, but not famished) and she was very sweet and brought us an extra plate, too....The food was very good...the steak cooked exactly to order and the salad was nice and fresh. We would recommend this place to others.More

They have a few of these in different cities on the coast. We were in Depoe Bay, with a nice view of the bay. The menu is huge. Lots to choose from and the prices are reasonable. I had a chicken and beef enchilada with...green sauce, rice and beans. the chips and beans are good. Hot sauce was good and the entree had lots of meat and the sauce was nice. Not a lot of kick or spices. That's why I say American/ Mexican. They have lots of flavored margaritas to choose from and other cocktails.More

Stopped in during the late afternoon and were the only ones there. It seems like a mid-range family owned place. The service and food were decent, but I can't say excellent. Margarita was ok, but not memorable. A great place for a family with kids.
