Decent sushi for the price. A lot of options. Wanted to try the AYCE option but already had a light lunch earlier.

I work at a hospital and was surprised to find one of the our staff pushing around a cart full of sushi lunches. I peeked in the box and was thrilled to find a large assortment of BIG lunches (two rolls each container). Not only...was I delighted by the gesture, this is donated food given of their own accord, but it was absolutely delicious. It was fresh, tasty and the spicy tuna was spicy enough to compare with San Francisco restaurants but not so spicy that I needed a tissue in the middle of my meal. I also had some sort of deep fried roll which I've never tried before and I've decided that when things open back up again, I'm going to try more of this type of sushi. Things I plan on having when we get a chance to go out and eat include sashimi, seaweed salad and the sesame balls--I haven't had these since we left San Francisco and I am looking forward to trying them. Long story short, Thank You, Momoji for thinking of us and being so gracious! I can't wait to visit your restaurant soon.More

Staff greeted and seated us immediately. Unfortunately there was a patron sitting across from us that talked loudly on her phone the first 15 minutes until we couldn't stand it any longer. Staff very nicely re-seated us away from the loud patron. We ordered and...food arrived quickly. I was hoping for better sushi, but it was just average. In all fairness, we live in Portland where there are numerous out-of-this-world, incredibly scrumptious eateries and we are so spoiled. Momiji paled in comparison to our favorite Portland sushi restaurants. It was just average, but we appreciated the kind service!More

Our choice on the menu is the Salem Rolls...yum! If you "Like" on Facebook and show to your server you can receive a complimentary appetizer. We usually choose the edamame.

The sushi is made in-house to order and is excellent. Other dishes are very good as well. Since each Momiji is owned independently the offerings vary but the quality is consistent.

I went here hoping for good sushi. When I got in the door, no one and I mean no one greeted, everyone behind the counter was busy either cleaning things slowly, talking with each other, all distracted with anything and everything other than customers. I...ordered a large amount of sushi anyway. They really did not take a lot of pride in what they presented, period, and the food was mediocre at best. I dropped about a hundred and 50 here, ill have to say that after trying most everything on menu, I would not do this again and it was not just a bad experience, the whole menu needs work, along with the preparation thereof, and attention to customers.More

Being on the coast, I expected really fresh fish. Instead, the fish has that freezer burn taste to it. And the Tako, while admittedly one of the more difficult things to get right, was really rubbery. I understand one cannot expect too much from an...AYCE establishment - but the cost would otherwise say that this should not be a ho0hum experience. The staff was polite, but had multiple servers so could not connect to one (after spending $150, you would think someone would want to work it for a good tip, at least). Not a good balance for cost.More

I have been to Momiji maybe 2 or 3 times in the last year, and its always been so-so, OK, good but not great. A big group of us (7 people) came here the other day, and wow! My rolls this time were VERY good,...I was impressed! Both the sushi rolls I got I wouldn't hesitate to order again, very tasty and good quality! When we got there, we were seated at a big table in the corner, which I think a couple times we were forgotten about for a while, since the service was very slow. I knocked off one star for lackluster service, and my only other complaint was their boba/bubble tea drink. I got their taro flavor, and it was OK, flavor was good, however they didn't blend it correctly, so there were large ice chunks in it that made it annoying to drink. So I don't recommend their boba drinks....other than that, their sushi was very good! I got their Shotgun roll, which was tuna on top and salmon in the middle, and their Arigato roll, which was albacore tuna, avocado, and cream cheese, and both were awesome! They were both large rolls, and the two were the perfect amount for dinner. Both tasted really fresh, with good quality fish and the flavors worked really well together. Really good rolls, I was super happy with them! Momiji does have an "all you can eat" sushi special, which is around $27. If you eat more than two rolls, its a good deal. If you can only eat two rolls, then ordering them individually is a better option. They also have a "buy one get one" sushi special, and this starts at 7pm to close. Great deal, but we were there earlier this time...next time!! I am definitely a fan of Momiji since I loved the two sushi rolls I got this last time so much! They were SO GOOD! The flavors were on point, I was pleasantly surprised, and won't hesitate to come back here for more!More

Momiji offers a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, nigitzi and related menu items, including an all-you-can-eat sushi plate, for anyone looking for variety. Wine, beer and saki are offered with an assortment of soft drinks. I tried one of the bento dishes with a side...of Rocky Salmon classic roll. Everything was delicious, but I ordered too much; had to take the rest to go. Chopsticks are available as well as forks for first-timers.More
