We eat here on several occasions mostly lunch time and then we buy baked Mexican breads to take home or to work.

A friend of mine told me about this place so I decided to give it a try. By far this is the best in Newberg. I had the Sopa's with marinated pork and it was delicious. I ordered 3 of the Sopa's and that was way too much. Next time I will order 2. The food came out in a... More

We visited on Monday and were delighted to find such authenticity in this small town! I would recommend the "sopes" and the tacos. Great salsa bar!

Not much was open on a Sunday so we dropped into Gonzalez's. Of the four meals, only one was better than average. Luckily it was mine. It could be that the food was different than the Mexican restaurants the kids are used to (they love black beans and Gonzales's serves pinto beans) but there were other problems. One meal was... Another couple and their grandson joined us for dinner at this pleasant Mexican restaurant. My wife had a super burrito and I had 2 enchiladas with refried beans and rice - two of the evening specials. The meals arrived hot, were tasty, and the portions were ample. We enjoyed chips and salsa (with just the right touch of spice) and... More

We went to GPYT because of the strong reviews on TripAdvisor. What a mistake. The restaurant is half Mexican convenience store and half restaurant. The staff person at the service counter - no table service - was excellent and friendly. The food was not good at all. It was watery, without much flavour, and not at all what was expected.... More

It's hard to find a good Mexican restaurant in the Nothwest, especially Newberg area. This place comes pretty close and has a wide selection of pastries, to calm that sweet tooth.

Used trip advisor to find a place to stop for lunch on the way back from the Oregon coast. This place was excellent. Had the tacos made with marinated BBQ pork...very yummy. There are also Mexican baked goods there for sale that looked great.

Was in town for a few days and brought here by friends. Great! I had a vegetable burrito. I was very happy that when I asked if the refried beans contained lard, everyone knew what I was asking, and the beans were vegetarian and delicious! Would love to go back.
