We were here six years ago and wanted to return. I made a reservation and we arrived. Upon arrival they told us it was a nine course tasting menu -- which I would not have booked. No matter how small, nine courses is too much for me. They allowed us on the spot to reduce to seven courses, which was... More

Dinner at Painted Lady is quite an experience. You will be here for awhile enjoying 11 courses (9 on the menu) of small gourmet delectable items. Service is very proper we were a bit scolded upon arrival with a nice bottle of local wine (not on their list and $35 corkage) with the question have you dined with us before... More

This was to be our "special meal" of our week in the Willamette Valley. The pretentiousness of the waiters was almost comedic as they lay down the plates in uses on and ever so amusingly mumbled the title of the dish as someone had trained them to do. Have to say I preferred the more casual but excellent platters of... More

This is a top rated restaurant in Newberg. I was given a gift to eat there. You will be pressed to get out for under $75 per plate. They bring you five or six courses. Not a lot of choice. Each course is food art at its best. The food tastes great but the size of the servings isn't really... More

The Painted Lady was a surprise to us in a number of ways. First and foremost -- and this is important -- they only offer tasting menus, no a la carte. You have have a choice of either seven or nine course menus, with or without wine pairings, so be prepared. That said, once we got over our shock, we... More

Our fourth visit here over the past several years. Incredibly well executed creative gourmet cuisine - a prix fixe menu that would cost at least three times as much in Napa Valley or NYC!

Setting was a quaint Victorian house. Food was delicious with portions on the small side (7 courses). Be prepared for a long meal, 2 1/2 hours plus. Excellent wine pairings.

A true dining experience. Fixed 5+ course meal, that is both creative and outstanding. Not just for show--really excellent. The wine pairings are a must. This is comparable to the finest that LA or NY or Chicago can offer. Plus, the cost, although not inexpensive, is well-priced

So much to say about The Painted Lady! It is a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Every course is a conversation piece. The food is exquisite. It is locally sourced and expertly prepared. Husband and I had our anniversary dinner here and it was fantastic. A foodies heaven. Service was top notch, food was a culinary delight, and the wine pairing was great. I highly recommend Painted Lady.
