My husband & I just discovered this gem in wine country. The service and ambiance were perfect. We had a memorable meal featuring black bean soup, BLTA salad, chicken liver pate, and smoked pork w spaetzle & braised greens. We had a Pinot Noir and a Pinot blanc to complement the food. Everything was exceptional! We will definitely return!

Really like this local place. The service is good and the food is very good with affordable prices in the higher end range but, have you seen the prices of like restaurants lately. I recently went to a Wednesday Supper series and it was outstanding in everything. I will continue to go to this great gem in my hometown.

This was my first experience of Subterra and it certainly lived up to expectations! Our server was most attentive, friendly and knowledgable about the intriguing menu. On this occasion I did not look at the wine list which was a pity as I expect it included many interesting wines from the local Willamette Valley vineyards.

Our third time dining, never disappointed. Starting with the multi-grain bread and an incredible soup of Portabella mushrooms w/ bacon :) we were already feeling good. Entree included main course plus soup and salad. my wife had the halibut and it was superb!, A+ (shes from Alaska and picky wrt seafood). I went light and had the Nagano beef skewers... More

Location: The idea of a restaurant in a wine cellar sounded pretty cool. In actuality, you just go down some steps in a parking lot/strip of old buildings next to the highway. Food: Had the potato wrapped halibut and the potato was mushy - would have been much better if it were sliced thiner and potato crispy. Can't even remember... More

Don't miss out on this place. The food flavor combinations are phenomenal. The food is always exciting and innovative from a flavor combination standpoint. The staff is wonderful and the ever evolving wine list always has something unique on it.

Last Monday we took our friends to dinner at SubTerra for a birthday celebration. We called ahead for reservations and to check if they had a dessert menu which is not shown on-line. Yes, they do! Here is what everyone enjoyed that were "included" with their dinners: A fresh assortment of breads and butters A choice of 2 soups...that night... More

We ordered the food and had it brought up to the Dark Horse tasting room we were at right upstairs no problems. Everything was made fresh and brought to the table astonishingly quick. We all enjoyed our lunch with a couple of glasses of wine.

Late lunch menu featuring BBQ Chicken burger (pictured) was great. We also had a burger and the daily quiche that were yummy. The highlight was dessert - the cream brûlée and the chocolate covered ding dongs were a "don't miss". The ambiance was pretty cool - basically a basement/cave with a wine tasting bar as well as the restaurant. Very... More

Splendidly interesting menu: easily recognizable favourites done with slight, but welcome, innovation. Superb service. Good wine list. Excellent for lunch or dinner.
