We ordered of the small plates to go with our bottle of wine from their great wine list. It was amazing! There were 4 of us and we can’t wait to go back. The servers were amazing too!0

I have eaten at Subterra likely 10+ times over the last few years and have never been disappointed. The service is personal and attentive. The food is clever and thoughtful in both substance and presentation. Their wine list is impressive, as are their offered cocktails.

We made reservations here for dinner on the recommendation of several locals and did not regret it. Such a fun basement-level space with awesome food! Try the potato-scaled halibut! (And they easily accommodated my Celiac GF food requirements).

We had a nice dinner with friends. The Chateaubriand for 2 was delicious. The local Pinot Noir was nice.

I'm in Portland for business quite frequently. On occasion we go to wine country for a tasting before dinner. This past week the recommended restaurant happened to be closed, but a quick Google search brought us to Subterra. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about dinner, even...though the restaurant was a bit hard to find in the fog and dark. I had the halibut, prepared in a unique manner, wrapped with thinly sliced potatoes and sauteed, with a wine reduction for the sauce, it was fantastic. It was accompanied by mushroom risotto, which was excellent. I don't remember what my associate had, but the meal was so good we went back with the client two days later.More

This restaurant was recommended to me by the staff at the local Best Western where I was staying. It is a little hard to find unless you know to look for it. But once you find it, it's worth the effort. It is down the...stairs, and the interior is cozy and warm, like a little bistro in Tuscany. The staff is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. And the food is excellent. Three course dinners run from $31 to $38. Small plates ("tapas") run from$11 to $18. And they have an extensive list of good Oregon wines. This is a place I would return to again and again if I lived in the area. I am really sorry I will be unable to return. If you live in the area, please give SubTerra a try.More

I am not a wine drinker so when I go out it's just for the food. My family and I went to one of their 5 course meal specials. The food was good and the atmosphere was unique as it's like a wine cellar. The...cost was about $35.00 per person. Personally I like to order from the catering side better and the service is really good. I haven't been to dinner there since 2017 but trip advisor does not give this option.More

The food was good, but not exceptional. We enjoyed the atmosphere, which was intimate and romantic. The wine list was good, and our server was very personable and attentive.

Extremely casual. Long Beach is a resort community. We were in shorts and t- shirts and fit right in, however there were folks dressed for dinner as well. Comfortable atmosphere across the board.
