We stopped here for a sweet treat while visiting the beach. The cinnamon rolls were amazing. The kids had a pirate decorated sugar cookies. The owners were super friendly and kind. Not the best place to look at, but the pastries were great.

We got there after the breakfast crowd left and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I had the Marionberry cream cheese turnover and my husband had the Blueberry cream cheese turnover. My mom had the pecan tart and they were all so good and rich. Could have eaten more, but we got some to bring home with us.

Lucky for me this was the only place open on a Sunday morning in July in Lincoln City. If you have a thing for pirates especially for Johnny Depp then by all means visit and while you are there try a marionberry, or boysenberry, or blueberry turnover. Rich and delicious! They also have berry cream cheese turnovers which looked a... More

Went there because the sign on the outside said "Voted best bakery" and we weren't disappointed. We were looking for donuts but found many different turnovers that were all baked....nothing deep fried. Went back a second time because our first experience was so good. Parking is a bit difficult, but we managed to find a place on the street behind.... More

I can't understand the good reviews, maybe the actual food is amazing..,we had pastries, they were stake and had a slight cigarette flavor. The kitchen and espresso area is filthy. I can't imagine it's been deep cleaned in a long time. Not sure how safe the food would be with that level of dirt. Captain Dan please pick up a... More

When ever I went to my cabin at the coast my Parents would sometimes be there and they had stopped at Captain Dan's Pirate Pastry Shop. They told me that the husband and wife team make up small batches of pastry throughout the day. The pastry is out of this world. Come to find out the Owner, Capt. Dan and... More

Great food, and great folks at Captain Dan's. Shop was quiet when we arrived, which was good as we had a chance to chat with Dan and his wife (?). Apple pie was tasty, as were the other pastries we tried. Small but quaintly decorated inside. Recommended!

I was very disappointed this weekend. I had called ahead and placed an order for 2 pies for a birthday. We were camping and had little reception but when I placed the order I said I would pick up after 2. I also asked how late you were open and was told 4. It was a suprise party and the... More

I had wanted to visit the shop since I saw the sign saying they had the best pastry. I totally agree! I had the Shipwreck turnover which was apple, caramel, cream cheese, and bacon. Yep. You taste all of those wonderful flavors in each bite plus the pastry is so delicate it melts in your mouth. It is a must... More
