I was surprised to see this restaurant has a Certificate of Excellence. I guess we were just unlucky last night. Our family chose this restaurant for a birthday celebration. When making the reservation, we insisted we needed outdoor dining due to COVID concerns. Apparently they...did not read the notes, and when we arrived for our reservation, no outdoor tables were available. They told us they would give us the next available table, but apparently gave this away - twice. Long story short, we decided to try to find a different place after an hour of waiting. Other restaurants in the area were closed by this time.. Our special birthday celebration happened at a pizza place, late at night. What was most irritating was the lack of apology or concern. In short: FUMore

Despite all the new and challenging times we are facing, Five Spice was amazing. Gabby, the host, was the most accommodating and sweet person. She really was so patient and explained all the new rules to our family. She was a great person to talk...too, and I appreciated all her help. We got sat very quickly in the beautiful lounge area ( with very comfy couches). I ordered the coconut shrimp as an appetizer, and it was perfection! For dinner, I had the Spicy Seafood Stew, which I would recommend. It was cooked perfectly and was filling. Our server, (the guy with the beard) was so patient with us, and was very knowledgeable, I could tell he was passionate about his job. Overall, I am so glad I picked Five Spice as my first dinner out of lockdown. The service here is unmatched, as well as the food. Go here, and leave with a smile!More

This is our go to place. We’ve enjoyed all servings. We’ve eaten the lunch, happy hour, and dinner with great selections. I’d list the items we’ve had but it would be to long. I’d recommend happy hour to try many of the items.

Excellent seafood especially the Sturgeon. Restaurant is loud, service is adequate but nothing special and prices are high for the portions that are served.

we recently met friends at Five Spice for happy hour. Really nice cocktails, and the food was well presented. Great service. We have had dinner there previously, and it was great, too, though a bit on the spendy side.

I just called to make a reservation and the hostess who answered was uninterested, un helpful and discouraged the reservation by her attitude. This for a supposed 5* restaurant turned me off completely from making the reservation. I didn't want the same experience to continue...if we did come there.More

The food was really wonderful, as was the service. Really nice view with a lot of windows. I had the sturgeon and it was great. Even the side dishes were exceptionally tasty. However, it is a bit spendy, and you can get most of the...same items a bit cheaper if you sit in the bar.More

Five Spice is one of those restaurants that gives off good vibes as soon as you enter. There is a waiting area with fire place and the seating is well arranged and spaced with beautiful views of the lake and trees. We were there for...brunch/lunch and the menu had a great selection of dishes to suit everyone. I started with a delicious grapefruit mimosa followed by the seared whole trout, roasted potatoes and two eggs. The trout was butterflied and was perfectly seared. I was very impressed. One of our party chose the tempura fish and chips which was thoroughly enjoyed. My spouse ordered the seared ahi quinoa bowl with edamame, pickled vegetables and wasabi greens with a soy sauce. He stated it was very good. Our waiter was patient, personable and professional. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.More

Five Spice is the only place in Lake Oswego that offers sturgeon as a dinner entree. It is prepared just right, and it's very tasty.

The restaurant is beautiful with lot's of windows, staff extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable! The food was excellent and I would highly recommend this place for any special occasion but a little expensive. But excellent prices on happy hour daily 3-6pm plus Sunday all day...is half price wine bottle purchase ~ super bonus! Beautiful thing also is it is not a chain, as I thought but locally owned!More

Sure. I've seen adults in "adult" restaurants much more disruptive than most well behaved kids.
