Doesn't get any better for a quiet breakfast during the summer. Sitting outside to people watch, enjoying a killer coffee and quiche, pastry... Good stuff!

After eating at a restaurant close by, we saw St. Honore while walking back to the car and decided we need some dessert. The store is decorated like a French pastry store with all the items on display. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted, but I choose the Chausson Aux Pommes which is a flaky... More

It maybe that we tend to go to St Honore on Saturday mornings while the market is going on-but its always packed and the line kind of meanders on top of diners-which I think is irritating to all involved-That said-everything Ive eaten there has been great-the pastries are flaky and rich-the breads crusty on the outside with chewy innards-The coffee... A very nice bakery with comfortable places to sit and beautiful pastries that are authentically French.

We love the food and bread here, but the ordering system is madness. We've almost given up. Part of the problem is that many patrons have no idea what they what to order and end up having long conversations about what soup d'jour means. We've also had terrible luck ordering coffee drinks, when whatever we order somehow gets translated into... More

Stopped here for lunch with a group. The size of our group overwhelmed them a bit, but the food was wonderful! A bit confusing as to how to order, where the menu was etc, but once the food came, it was worth the confusion! Delicious breads, awesome desserts, and very comfortable atmosphere. We were able to sit outside on a... More

We have been eating at SHB for many years and can always count on delicious authentic french pastries as well as hearty lunches. Great coffee too. We are fortunate to have this establishment in our small town. Outdoor and indoor seating too. Did I mention the great coffee?

Baked goods are top-notch and sandwiches are excellent. In warm weather sitting outside with your purchase is pleasant. Lines can be long and items sold out by mid-day. Restrooms can be congested. All-in-all it is a great place to stop for a light snack/meal.

Even on a rainy morning, the place was bustling. Had a nice photo op right outside the boulangerie. The view of the water was breathtaking. The pastries are the closest you'll get to real French goodies outside of France. One of my favorite places in Portland.
