After a day of hiking in the Columbia River Gorge, we checked into our hotel and the receptionist recommended Brian's Pourhouse as one of her favorite restaurants in the area. That matched my pre-travel research so we decided to give it a try. There are two small decks outside and inside is a bar area and dining area with linen... More

This is my favored place to eat in Hood River and I have dined a dozen times over the years. It is located on a small house on the main street with little more than a dozen tables, half of them on two porches outside. The menu changes frequently: it is limited but contains some pasta, burger, steak and locally... More

I'd give a 5 but rib eye that was recommended was awful. Fatty and stringy. But, order vegetarian thai curry! Amazing. Service awesome. Beer and wine awesome. Great spot!

We ate here late afternoon one day. Really loved the atmosphere - casual (we came here straight from a hike and were dressed accordingly) but nice. The food was really good and the staff was very friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating

Fantastic food! Great service! Burgers were huge and so tasty. Kids meals were good too. Mine loved the pizza. Definitely worth trying it out!

Just a terrific menu and THE nicest staff. Nice decks around a charming bar and tables inside what looks like was a house. The salmon special with black couscous was the just the best. Good selection of beer and wine and terrific chocolate sorbets (choc habanero one night so good we had to go back the next night for choc... More

Happily there was a Kobe sirloin special - it was served with a root vegetable purée and mushrooms. Steak was cooked perfectly - should have been served on a plate and not in a bowl. I loved the battered Calamari appetizer which was garnished with sautéed green onions and served with soy sauce and also a tarter type dressing. Pasta... More

The title says it all. Found this great place while wandering through the countryside in Oregon. Fantastic place with both indoor and outdoor eating. Excellent food and service and a nice quiet ambience. Definitely worth visiting.

I've been going to Brian's on various trips to Hood River over the years and they never disappoint. The food is always interesting and delicious. The menu changes pretty much every day. The bartenders are super-knowledgable, high energy, and fun. And the cocktail selection would be first-rate, even in a really big city. These guys really get it. I've spent... More

We wandered in off the street exploring the town. they have music playing, a fire place, lovely pictures on the wall, and a wonderful spinach and strawberry salad, my husband had a great French dip sandwich. the salad was so good I wandered by later to get more of the salad to go to eat for dinner. It really was... More
