We are staying at nearby at the Vagabond. Husband and son walked over for takeout. Waited almost 30 minutes. They weren't busy,,,no one else in line. As they waited after ordering, four couples had come in and ordered then sat. The four couples were then served and we still hadn't received food. My husband stepped back up to counter and... More

Although we have lived in Hood River for over 3 years now, we have not yet made it to all of the local eateries. We have tried, but we keep going back to our favorites instead of branching out. So, we recently decided to try the “Charburger Country”. It is in a somewhat remote area of town. Actually it is... More

Went with family for a quick meal. It's a little weird the way you order - stand in a long line while a disinterested person takes your order. Lot's of specials - I chose the deep fried chicken. Big mistake. Who knows how long that chicken had been in the pot, but the crust was thick and nasty. There were... More

For many years driving the 84 I have seen all the signs for the Charburger so today was the day I finally stopped. It's a little rundown. The staff were not all that friendly. The special was a "trukey" sandwich (their spelling not mine). The burgers and fries were good. The dining area could have been cleaner. The first booth... More

Right next to the Vagabond Lodge, this place has super friendly staff and seriously good burgers. They have lots of other things on the menu too, that we'll have to try next time!

This is separately owned from the same name restaurant in Cascade Locks. Great burger and fries for a reasonable price.

we walked over for breakfast. Next time we'll probably drive to town. I had basted eggs, hashbrowns and toast for $5.00, which is a good price. They offer four different varieties of french toast and my wife got the crispy which had some sort of coating on it for $5.50. She wouldn't get it again. My eggs were done nicely,... More

We visited Hood River in August and went to Charburger for breakfast. The food was amazing. We ordered their version of eggs benedict and it was delicious. It is made with a sausage patty instead of canadian bacon and honestly three people could have split this meal and been full. The service was fantastic. My mom has to have her... More

We stopped here after a long day of driving and hiking. They were open for a later dinner. We stopped in about 8:30 PM. The food was good and the portion size was enormous. We were pleased with our dinners. (Bacon cheeseburger and chili cheeseburger)
