Delicious food! We stopped here for lunch before heading out to Mount Hood. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. Definitely worth stopping while on the Hood River.

Great beers and very good service. Sat outside and hubby enjoyed the best smoked salmon dip he’s ever had. Then we split the pimento cheese burger. Great location too

It's a shame, because I really like their beer - just the best anywhere, and the food I've had there has been pretty good too. But I totally cannot tolerate the noise. The place is all concrete and steel - the noise level is horrid....I'm mid-level hearing impaired - you'd never notice in casual conversation in reasonably quiet places - outside, in a home, or most businesses. But one aspect of hearing loss is sensitivity to NOISE... It's counter-intuitive, I know. But ask your local audiologist - hearing impaired people are MORE sensitive to NOISE than non-impaired people. I can't go to those loud-music venues, race-tracks.... LOUD is a barrier. I won't return to pFriem. Makes me sad... I love their stuffMore

This place was highly recommended, we had high expectations. Reservations not welcome, ended up having to wait almost an hour, asked for a pint of their higher end IPA, they refused, said 8 oz only. So I got a pint of the house IPA, it...was good. The service was good once seated, we got the asparagus salad to start, my wife got some sort of chicken pasta thing, and I got the cheese burger and fries. The wife liked the salad, her pasta thing was pretty basic and the chicken was fairly overcooked. Cheeseburger was kind of small, and undercooked, fries were good. Prices were definitely fair, for the beer and the food. I would rate the food as slightly below standard bar food, service above standard bar service, and price is good. Probably won't go back, there are better bars to eat at around here.More

My husband and I were looking forward to having a beer and lunch at pFriem on our way to Portland. We were told a 25 minute wait for a table, and while we waited they said grab a beer at the back bar and you...can wait there for your table. The back bar did not allow us to sit, they said those seats were for the "wait staff". The bar tender was rude and the manager made it evident we were not welcome. We left after this encounter, and were totally surprised per all the positive reviews. Maybe a bad day? Anyone else experience this treatment? It was Friday, April 29th @ 2:00 pm.More

Pfriem makes excellent beer, including Belgian style brews that are a favorite of ours. The mussels & frites are always a nice treat, and the simple salad was just that - simple, fresh, and dressed perfectly. The service is friendly and the ambience is nice....On the weekends and in high season, be ready for a bit of a wait for a table! You can leave your number and go for a walk, or a drink nearby, while you wait. It's worth the wait.More

I really enjoyed the beers here. We tried several options and loved them all. Kudo's to the master brewer. The rest of the experience is weird. I am hoping it is the COVID policies they are following and not how they operate all the time....The host station is outside. Waiting for a table is outside too. If you want a beer while you wait, you have to order it through the open window and drink it in the little gated area. If you go inside the taproom, you are asked to go back outside. While I did not have a dog with us, I can believe they would ask me to tie it up outside without a second thought. We sat at the bar. The servers were nice and great with letting us sample beers before we ordered our drinks. The food was okay. I had the pimento cheese burger. My friends shared the bratwurst plate. I am pretty sure I would not come back here. The experience is not worth it.More

My father inlaws and I bond over beer and our family planned to stop for lunch on our way back to Portland from Bend (went out of our way) tried to call to see what the patio situation looked but was sent to a VM....Got there and they said I had to strap my dog to a pole on the street or ally! If it was on the 60s, I'd be fine keeping her in the car but on an 80' day. No way. I'm really peeved because I know it's not a Hood River policy, it's a them policy and I've spent thousands of dollars on training so I can bring my 35# lab everywhere with me. Dude, POST online if you are not dog friendly and/or answer your phones. This is Oregon people travel with their dogs and they deserve better than to be stuck to a pull in the sun.More

Believe it or not, while I am recovering from a broken ankle, my physical therapist recommended this place as I told him I needed a break and needed to get away with my husband during COVID. Beers, food - the entire experience was AWESOME!! Definitely...recommend this place as they have a ton of beers! Their menu is limited but we recommended the Chorizo for an appetizer and then the Mac and Cheese with bratwurst and the Czech Pork for dinner. For drinks we pretty much ordered tasters of just about everything......and then the hubby bought all their dark, barrel-aged beers so he could age them. Service, management, food, beer - everything was amazing!! We live in Boise but we will definitely be BACK!!!More

We recall seeing dogs on the patio. And maybe even water dishes. The town seemed to be very dog friendly.
