Had dinner here last night while waiting for the interstate to open back up. The food was pretty good. I had a chimichanga. It had good flavor. The chips and salsa were very good and the salsa seemed homemade so that's a plus. Overall it was about what I expected.

They have good food , the services was really slow and the dinners took about 40 minutes to come out of the kitchen . The waiters don't really come back to see if you need anything else . Seemed like it took forever to get the food too . Over all was ok but I would hurry back .

Visiting Hood River from Australia on business and just happened to see Ixtapa while driving by. It is tucked away so you need to look for it. Really friendly welcome, seated immediately. Venue is simple but friendly and welcome. Mexican soft music helps with the selection, consumption and digestion. Great selecting of food, I chose a combination and was pleased... More

Located in a shopping center at the edge of town, we had parking right in front so we didn't have to walk in the rain. My vegetarian dish was prepared WITHOUT all the heavy grease often found in Mexican dishes.

Traveling by car and in Hood River for a late lunch (1:30 or so). Found Ixtapa right off the highway and stopped in for a meal. Quick service, friendly, and very, very good food. Chicken Fajitas the best I've had in a very long time. Other meals included the Ixtapa burrito and the Carne Asada burrito (also well prepared and... More

In a town unfamiliar to us it can at times be difficult to choose something reasonable priced that is quick but not fast food. This was very good! Nachos were by far the best of our two meals. Friendly staff too!

Look up the definition of Ixtapa or Bland and you should find a picture of this restaurant. Great service, nice atmosphere--but BLAND food. So many cooks in the world but so few chefs. Ixtapa has cooks--food bungers. The tasteless ingredients are thrown together without concern for flavor. The presentation is nice, but who cares when it doesn't taste good? It... More
