Go for the Japanese food (the sushi was good but Okalani was better). Amazing miso ramen and spicy tofu. Like other reviews about the place, the service is really slow so be prepared to wait.

Kazi is open again after some months away. This small place can get crowded, but the food is beautiful and delicious, with great attention to details. Miso soup a welcome sight on a cold night, lovely little salad with a huge depth of flavor in the dressing, crisp and light tempura prawns so fresh and sweet, great assortment of veggies,... More

Maybe it was because it was a Tuesday after the Labor Day weekend, but they did not have it together this night. Place does not open until 6 pm, which is odd enough, and they are only open for dinner. Small crowd of folks were waiting outside for them to open, so maybe the kitchen got over whelmed, and our... Since Toshi doesn't update review sites... Kaze is closed, hopefully temporarily. You can eat his amazing sushi and other dishes at his Beaverton Restaurant, Hakatamon. 3486 SW Cedar Hills Blvd. and Hall . It's in a tiny strip mall behind the Chevron station. If you're a ramen fan, you HAVE to try it!!! I'm dedicated to sashimi at Kaze but... More

I came to this restaurant because a friend recommended it. Unfortunately, the service was awful (I had to ask for a glass of water TWICE, even after my food came) and the sushi was just ok. I know the lady was new but with only three tables filled, she was still totally overwhelmed. I went to Nagomi Sushi the night... More

The sushi from Kaze has an excellent reputation. Unfortunately the first time it was like being on a reality show to get to the place, because of some kind of event in the town. Since then, we've tried to go back several times, but the place is never open! There's always a sign on the door. Very frustrating. I'm not... More

The past twenty years have witnessed an explosion of Sushi spots, but most fail to maintain quality (sushi by design must he fresh - recently caught). Having experienced real quality in Japan I can readily say Kaze was a terrific surprise! Perfect presentation, sushi rice was just right, and the staff were the best. If you don't have the time... Nice take on well-made Japanese staples with a slight Hawaiian accent and good cooking care. Very inexpensive and friendly. Popular for good reasons and can be a bit slow, but worth it. Bring an appetite. Portions are as generous as prices are reasonable.
