After seeing mixed reviews we decided to try this restaurant since we were staying at the CGH. We were seated promptly and served fresh bread. The salad was fresh with a nice presentation. Odered the rib eye which came out just as ordered, with nice fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes. What a treat. Our server, Cory, was very attentive and... More

We wanted to walk around the grounds since it's so very picturesque. We were actually able to purchase a glass of wine and walk around with it. We ended up sitting outside on the patio in the sun, looking at the Columbia River through the trees. It was so beautiful. Wine was good. We both had a glass and it... More

We really liked the idea of this place and we decided to give it a try for breakfast. It was located right next to our hotel, Columbia Cliffs Villas. We love historic buildings and are history buffs so we were hoping for a great experience. The grounds are beautiful. Service was very attentive, no issues there. We were sat by... More

I had their halibut and it was probably some of the best prepared ever. It came with mashed potatoes, baby carrots and asparagus, all cooked to perfection. The view of the Columbia River Gorge and Columbia River is enough, but the food matches the view. The bar is next to the restaurant (Valentino's - after Rudolph who stayed here) and... More

We enjoyed the comfortable lounge in this historic hotel. Bloody Marys prepared by Carlos and Rocio were fantastic. They went out of their way to provide us excellent service.

My wife and I stayed in the Columbia Gorge Hotel recently for our anniversary and consider our decision to have dinner in Simon's a mistake as it didn't live up to a good reputation. We were warmly welcomed and seated at a nice table but our waitress seemed as if she at a lot of nicer or more important places... More

Enjoyed a relaxing breakfast with excellent omelette. Numerous items in Ranch omelette and fresh baked rye bread. Fresh strawberry preserves and fruit cup. Service was good and view is outstanding. Fresh squeezed orange juice and an interesting salsa for the omlette. Reasonable price being around $30 including tip for two.

The historic building was very beautiful. The food was really good but service was sloooooooow. I had the club and the strawberry salad. The salad was incredible!!! Others with my group has the hook, the wrap, monte Christo. Everyone liked it But the service was really super slow we had to get our own pepper and grind it! For our... More

We are enjoying a three day and three night stay at this charming vintage classic hotel. Tonight we enjoyed fine dining with a window table at sunset. I enjoyed the wonderfully prepared Coconut crusted Halibut with fresh garden vegetables and light rice pilaf. Fresh with wonderful flavor. My husband enjoyed an excellent Ribeye steak with savory potatoes. Dessert was a... More
