Great service and exceptional food. We were in town car shopping and if we are in this area again will definitely come back. The labneh, hummus, dolmas, falafel, house made pita, and veggie pastry combo were yummy. Our leftovers were perfect at our hotel before...we headed home. The atmosphere was nice and open with great aesthetic. Highly recommend.More

My wife ordered the Mirza Ghasemi, which she really liked. I ordered the Ghormeh Sabzi, which was also quite good. We enjoyed having the chance to eat Persian food again. The restaurant was located in downtown Hillsboro, which we also found inviting.

I had visited with family last spring and was looking forward to another meal. I had the chicken kebabs with tabouleh. Wonderful tabouleh...mostly vegetable, less bulgar than I've had previously. A pita large pita was served with oil and herbs upon seating. Warm and very...good. Kebabs were very good. Server was pleasant, it was early evening so few people and my meal arrived in good time. I would recommend this restaurant.More

We had Adas Polo, veggie dolmehs, hummus, and gormeh sabzi, and everything was good, not great. Maybe it was because we didn't arrive until 8:30, but most of our food came out lukewarm or cold. The bill for four was $52 before tip. The staff...did not wear masks.More

We ordered online to go, so my review will be more about the food and less about the service. We ordered lamb and chicken Shawarmas (both were very good). Tzatziki was also very flavorful (should have gotten more). Baba Ghanoush was about average and the...falafel was not that good (very dry).More

My wife, who has lived and worked in several middle eastern countries was delightfully impressed with, to her, the authentic flavor of their menu. Reasonable prices and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended. They specialize in "take away" as they have a very small dining area.

It took me over a year to go to Salam and what a pleasant surprise a mix of Persian and Lebanese food is top-notch. wide variety of food. Reasonably priced. all the kebobs were great. Hummus and falafel were tasty as well, aside from the...rice pudding their deserts were wonderful their Rosewater Saffron Ice Cream is better than anything at Salt N StrawMore

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The Ash soup was new to us and very savory. Nice fall soup. Parking might be an issue, but it was worth the 2-block walk.

I was craving for lamb and my go to restaurant was not open on a Sunday. So I tried Salam. What a surprise! The lamb shack is delicious and it is closer to home. They have a new customer now.

This was probably my fifth time at this location, we love Mediterranean food. We have never been disappointed here. We just wanted a light meal and this time we had a mezzo plate and shared, we also ordered some extra dolmas. Very satisfying.

When in the area Salam is one of my favorite places to go to for dinner. We stopped by recently and had another great experience. We started with the hummus and after that I had the Chichen Kabob. Great quality food and very friendly service....Salam is a place that I would really recommend to stop by when you are in the area!More

I have been in this place multiple times, the samplers are the best, the portions are big enough to feed me and my wife. The taste is very good and not heavy at all. The price is more than appropriate.

We had a solid dining experience at Salam. Everything we ate was attractive and well prepared, but nothing on our Mezze plates stood out as exceptional. For example, the falafel and hummus both had great textures, but their flavors were too mild to make a...lasting impression. However, since the service was prompt, the portions generous, the ingredients high quality, the prices right, and the restaurant clean and airy, we had a very enjoyable dinner experience. I realize this doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement --even if I add that we'll definitely dine here again. That's because the Portland area has a lot of above exceptional Middle Eastern and Mediterranean restaurants and food trucks to choose from. With so much competition a restaurant really has to shine to earn 5 stars. With more spice in the dishes and an expanded beer menu Salam could easily get to the top. Until then, in our humble opinion, it's simply a solid choice for reasonably priced neighborhood fare in the crowded Hillsboro/Beaverton dining market. Which is a good thing. Eat here.More

Server was good, the large flat bread was awesome. Otherwise the food was bland. I typically love middle eastern lentil soup but I had to ask for lemon it was bland. Most of the food was under salted. The appetizers were so-so. I typically like...Lebanese spinach pie even more than Greek spinach pie but not so here. Instead of tart and savory there were a few bland half cooked spinach leaves inside. As fans of middle eastern food we were not satisfied overall with our meal. We might go again and order differently as it was clean and friendly.More
