This is one of those restaurants tucked downtown. If passing though Hermiston, it's unlikely you'd stumble across this place. Punch it into your GPS and go. The Pheasant is exactly what they say it is, Blue Collar Bar and Grill. Joe Shmuckatelli fits right in....We sure did. I ordered the weekly special burger, bacon with macaroni and cheese. That's right, a scoop of mac n' cheese right on it. (Personally, I would have done something different to the macaroni to make it hold together, but this was fine.) My wife ordered pulled pork sandwich. Both plates came loaded with more fries than you could possibly need. Service was casual and fun. The place never really slowed down too terribly much and we were there a good bit after lunch time. Stop by, eat and enjoy. It'll be well worth the time out.More

A diamond in the rough in Hermiston with a great variety on their menu, friendly service, open seating, and competitive prices. Very much worth the price. A bit of a dive, but keeps the patron numbers down providing an opportunity to have a table with...no wait.More

The bar has typical pub menu, but above average quality and the best service in town. The restaurant up front has a full menu.

Had recommendations to try this diner and was sorely disappointed. Although I only had a sandwich, I was asked at least twice what kind of bread and when it came, it was on whole grain. Since it took 30 minutes to get the (cold) sandwich,...I did not send it back, but you would think the server would have noticed. There was chaos between the cooks and the servers about getting out a large order and I felt embarrassed to be hearing the ‘discussion.’ Sandwich was fine, hand cut fries were ok. Price on menu was not price on check. I didn’t squabble over 10 cents, but there seems to be a lot of confusion. Won’t go back.More

My wife and I went to the Pheasant for lunch today. We both had the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. She had the small and I had the large. Mine was “huge” and her’s would have been perfect for me too. I thought the taste...was good, and the service was great. There weren’t many people in there while we were there, so the food came out very fast. The place has been remodeled since we were last in, and we liked the look was an improvement. The bar has been moved, which also seems to be another improvement. We were impressed.More

This place has the best of both worlds. They have a bar atmosphere for the evening hours and is a favorite among the locals. The lunch and dinner menu is very affordable with sizable portions and finger licking flavors. I recommend this place to anyone...I know.More

We came in on a Friday evening at 7 and found the place nearly empty. Turns out the townsfolk were all at high school graduation. We ordered the prime rib special and the tri tip. Service by Angelique was excellent- fast, professional and accurate. The...food came out quickly and was excellent. The restaurant is in front and there is a large bar and a good sized dance floor in an adjacent area. They were having a "back to the 90's" evening when the graduation was done.More

I'm. It a negative person. But really frustrated with this place. Several bar tenders/helpers that are doing ng everything but bartending. So I'm standing in line (for too long) and I finally get to the bar. A loud guy behind starts yelling his order and...they start making it. Then, I order a round of shots for the entertainers and they pull out these tiny plastic thimbles to fill. I ask for the standard glass shot glasses and they said they don't do this (the person before my just ordered 5 shots in glass shot glasses and they were served in glass). I walked away pissed. This is what your business is... know your customers.More

I am sorry you had a negative experience this weekend. Hopefully you at least enjoyed the Micro Wrestling Federation. We had about 250 people we were trying to take care of and only so many Shot glasses were available and we really try to keep...More
