Always a good rotating selection of beers on tap. Staff are friendly. Beers available in bottle or can also, for take home or drink in. No food but you can bring in from next door or elsewhere.

My first visit to downtown Gresham brought me here, for their 8th anniversary, and a Saturday afternoon performance by one of my favorite bands, the J.T. Wild band. I don't homebrew any more, so can't speak to that part of the business, but the taproom was great! Excellent selection, friendly folks, and samples given. No food, but the burger place next door has you covered. Go there!

With the boys being so good during dinner, we wanted to go next door for a beverage. This place has an expansive beer menu and choices for each type of beer. We like IPAs, so we were able to sample a few and decide. I was in the mood for a cider, and while I sampled the cider they had on draft, I wasn’t a fan. The bartender informed me that I could grab a bottled cider (lots more choices) from the cooler and enjoy it on the premise (just have to pay a $1 corking fee). I was able to enjoy a cider that I had not had before and that made me happy. This place has an outdoor seating area that is tented (minors can’t go in this section ☹️), so we sat in the main area. We were comfortable and it was relaxing. Will definitely be going back!

Hello and thank you for coming over to The Hoppy Brewer after dinner. We are glad you had a good time and a cider that you like. Yes, the courtyard has been licensed through OLCC for adults only, but, as you found out, the inside is all ages which is great....!! Cause we are the only beer bar in downtown Gresham where minors are welcome....We look forward to seeing you again.
Cheers, Steve

This brewery is so friendly to the community experience. We were able to order food from the Local Cow restaurant and eat it in their child friendly setting. After lunch we stayed and played a friendly game of Apples to Apples. What fun for family and friends.

We just moved to this state a few weeks ago. We happened to stumble on this place a couple minutes from home. Fun neighborhood bar – we’ve been here a couple times already. Easy going, casual atmosphere. Nice staff. There’s rotating beers on tap, large selection (even ciders). (Sometimes some rare beers). They also have special events. They have live music. Cute courtyard. You can bring in food (there’s a Vietnamese bldg you can grab something at or a burger place connected to the courtyard, or other food options if you want to walk around to bring it back to Hoppy’s).

We popped in for a beer and had a great time. The live music was great the beer awesome and we ordered a burger and fries from next door that was satisfying. Service was good and the decor relaxing! Well worth the stop!

Really small venue for music. The bands seem squashed in like sardines. What really caught me off guard was the small children late at night, I realize they are probably with the family of the band. With signs saying no minors I thought it was more of a bar.

When bands play, the venue can get quite cozy but they love to play at The Hoppy Brewer, they beg me to play and people love the music so I can't say no....Also, minors are permitted inside, the signs refer to the courtyard. Thanks for coming out and I hope we see you again....CHEERS...

28 rotating beers on tap and many are from local Oregon breweries. Great atmosphere to sit and grab a pint or a growler to take home. For the wine drinkers they also have 8 local wines to choose from. This part of Gresham is a must for any out of town visitors and locals. Wonderful shops all within walking distance. Hoppy's does not have a food menu but they have a beer garden where they encourage you to purchase food from the local eatery's and enjoy their brews and local foods.

Hoppy Brewer has become our go-to happy place in downtown Gresham. They have a great selection of beers, from IPAs to stouts, plus ciders and wine. It's a great place to relax with your friends and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. They also have special events -- like brewer tastings, homebrewers meetings, and music -- and are surrounded by great restaurants. If you love beer, you really can't go wrong at Hoppy's!

Somedays I want a dark thick porter and other days I want a light cider. There are even days I want an IPA somewhere in-between. Bottom line? I love beer and appreciate a taproom that has a variety of options. They also have one of the largest selections of local, national, and international bottled beer as well. The staff is always friendly and attentive. A great place to fill a growler or stay in the heated courtyard for while. You can order food from a great gourmet burger place next door called The Local Cow.

Met some friends here for drinks. Tried the Blackberry Pear Cider, which was absolutely delicious! Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a large list of local brews, IPAs, and ciders. The patio seating is perfect for summer evenings!
