Best Chinese in Grants Pass

Best Chinese food I’ve had in Grants Pass. Nice small restaurant in the back of a shopping center. Easy parking. Also had sushi on the menu but I didn’t have any this time. Saw some rolls at other tables, it looked good. Had the Seafood Delight, shrimp and scallops were fresh. Friend had the Sesame Chicken; he said his was great. Only drawback for me was no brown rice. But that’s a minor one. Will definitely eat there again.

The best chinese restaurant in Grants Pass. That being said it is just fair food. We have eaten there many times. It is never crowded.They have changed their menu for the better.

Always Good Food

I have eaten here many times and tried over half the items on the menu. The food is consistently good. Lately the service has been a little lacking, not sure if it is because we have come very early or somewhat late for the normal crowds. But even so, food was good.

Ghost Shrimp!!!!

Ordered a Hot and Spicy soup and ask to add shrimp when I got home there was only 2 shrimp in it ,and when I called I asked how many shrimp are supposed to be in it , they told me 4, asked how much per shrimp and they said $1.00 ,so I got charges $4.00 for 2 shrimp! They better be exceptionally great shrimp for the price. And the menu when you google them is probably 3 yrs old so ask for prices before you order. Just saying.

Never Again!

The food did not taste good. The Kung Pao Chicken had no pow whatsoever. It was sweet and there was just a lot of squash added to the dish. The spring egg rolls were not cooked all the way through. They were cold in the middle and a little greasy on the outside. The egg roll sauce was so sweet it was like liquid sugar. The service was terrible and I had to call to the kitchen area over and over for someone to come to the front, so I could pay my bill, and half the dining area was being used for storage. Will not return - there are way better Asian restaurants in Grants Pass.

Excellent food

I've eaten at many American-style Chinese food restaurants in my77 years but this is one of the top two! Excellent tasting recipes. Wish I lived closer and wasn't just passing through because I would eat here every week. I normally order the same appetizers and foods so I can compare when I first eat somewhere. Their cheese puffs and mussels excelled!

Best Chinese food I’ve had in southern oregon

We had a delicious meal here. It’s an obscure location but the food was fresh and flavorful with generous portions. The waitress was very nice. Definitely will go back there.

The Hunan Garden is a place to eat, and it's sorta tucked away in the shopping center and when you find it I am insure will enjoy what you ordered. It has became our favor place to eat when enjoy oriental food.

We have eaten at Hunan Gardens many times before, and it has been good. Today we ordered food to go, and two of the meals were terrible. I never, ever complain about food, or service, but felt as loyal customers, they would respond accordingly. The response I got was nothing short of pathetic. It was full of excuses, from nobody else had complained , to we took to long to pick up our order, which was not the case at all. Bottom line, I would never go back. Part of a good dining experience is service, and they failed horribly tonight,

Wonderful food - poor service

We were greeted by a young man who did not seem very interested. I ordered sweet/sour chicken, he repeated the order twice, and I received sweet/shrimp. The young man was the only server on the floor, although he kept talking to another male that we could not see. The food was well cooked, but the service was poor.

Good Chinese food.

My first review a year ago was less than stellar. The second visit was such an improvement over the first that I felt compelled to write an updated review. Our dinner selections were delicious. The veggie stir fry had a light sauce, was fresh and beautiful to look at. Mushu park was not a soggy mess, the flavor was perfect. Service was excellent.

Good food.. No service

Ordered takeout and was told it would be 45 minutes. Once I got there it seemed like they had to retake my order! I SAT there another hour. Many people sitting at tables with glasses empty and no food. They said it had been an hour to hour half. Nobody was even waiting on them! Food was good but very long long waits... I will go some where else.

Good Food Poor Service

The last couple of times we have been the service has been poor. Long wait time and they don't seem to care. This time we actually called our order in at 4:45. Was told it would be ready at 5:30, ok, no big deal. Husband went to pick it up and about 6 text saying he was still there waiting and they had just come to tell him they were out of the egg flower soup. He said he watched people come and go as he waited for our order. So I called and told them it was unacceptable and if we had known we would have gone somewhere else. The response was "sorry, we put the orders in as they come." I let them know we wouldn't be back any time soon. On the bright side the food was good which makes the fact that their service is terrible even more disappointing. If you are not in a hurry and don't mind waiting forever for your food then this is the place to go!

Great Chinese Food

Located a bit out of the way behind the JC Penney store but the food was excellent. Had Kung Pao Chicken and it was delicious. More flavorful than the Hong Kong Garden food we tried a few days earlier. We will definitely return as we settle into our new home in Grants Pass.
