My wife and I stopped in there to have breakfast! The food was great! We loved the atmosphere in the little cafe! Well worth the stop if your in the area, be it for business or play!

Our family dined at the Huckleberry Inn on our way to the Timberline Lodge. It had a nice, cosy atmosphere. Their menu had a huge selection to choose from. We really liked everything that we tried. We especially enjoyed the shakes. Our favorite shake was the huckleberry shake, of course!

Manger/Owner makes himself known. Un-professional rude to his workers. "What you put in is what you get in return". His waitress was friendly and on top of it. {Stacy I think} Manger/Owner wanted to talk to her about what another employee had to say about the kitchen function. THIS should never happen in front of customers. The waitress handled it... More

So the locala recommended Glacier Haus on the west side of Government Camp. Unfortunately, EVERYONE wanted to eat there and it was packed. So, we walked a little further to Huckeberry Inn Restaurant. The lady behind the counter was in the middle of her own meal when we walked in. There were one or two occupied tables, with the rest... More

Prices are high. Selection is ok. Owner/manager is oblivious. Food is mediocre. Veggies were over cooked. The chicken dinner turned out to be fried chicken. "Fried" is an important adjatiave to include in a chicken dinner description. The palace was not particularly busy and people came in, waited to be acknowledged or seated, and walked out after being ignored for... More

This is your classic mountain diner/greasy spoon - did not disappoint. Donuts and shakes were great!

I visited Government Camp with my wife and kids to take some pictures of Mount Hood. We decided to have some desert in town and a local recommended Huckleberry. The restaurant was empty and we asked if it was opened. The waitress, Stacy replied annoyingly "obviously, we are opened 24 hours a day". From then on, the service got worse.... More

We usually head up to the mountain early and the Huckleberry is a good stop before hitting the slopes.

Ordered a mix of entree and sandwiches. Both came with lots of French fries. The ham and cheese sandwich was Ok but very simple fare. The desert was a speciality of the inn- a very large donut which was fresh, light to eat and nicely sugared as pictured.
