After spending an uncomfortable night at the Pacific Reef motel, the breakfast offered was enjoyable, and very economical. The customers could choose from about 6 choices along with coffee and beverages.

Our hotel recommended this place and told us mention you stayed at the Pacific Reef and you will get 10% off. Breakfast was delicious. The menu is small, you order at the counter and they bring you your meal. The french toast should be illegal it was that good. Homemade cinnamon bread made into french toast with powder sugar and... This place is fine. If you want a bowl of hot chowder, they'll get it to you quickly and you won't be disappointed. However, you also won't be blown away. The side salad was really basic and the lettuce was shriveled enough that my wife didn't eat much of it. The two guys working were not overly attentive to anything... More

There is a $10 discount, per room for breakfast for those staying at the Pacific Reef Resort. With a price of $2.50 each or a cup of coffee, we should probably have brought our own from the hotel. It IS located on property. Meals are ordered from the counter, fast food style. You're provided with cups to serve yourself beverages... More

As guests at the neighboring Pacific Reef Hotel, we were given a coupon for $10 off of breakfast at the Chowder House. Everyone in our party raved about the food: the food was good with very hearty portions. I thought the clam chowder was the best that I had on the entire trip. It was thick with plenty of potatoes... A step up from Denny's, but nothing that will knock your socks off. A reliable, traditional American breakfast menu. We ate here because the adjacent Pacific Reef Inn, where we stayed, gives a $10 credit per room. We ordered a veggie omelette and french toast. It was pretty standard and filled us up. Service was quick. Fox News was on... More

The chowder is pedestrian (not the best, but not bad). My friend got sick from the fish tacos, but it may have been just a bad piece of fish. My brothers burger was good, but the battered fries are not great. The service was very good, pleasant, welcoming and ready to please. I don't know that I would go there... More

We had breakfast here. Bad coffee for $2.50, no flavored creamers available to compensate for that. Very small sandwiches. After spending $18 for two people we were still hungry and ended up at Subway 30 minutes later. Too pricy if you look at the quality and quantity (at least for the breakfast of what we know).

I took a family of 6 to this restaurant. It appears like a fast food restaurant and a "sit down" restaurant combined. The atmosphere is relaxed. Most importantly the food is good. The fried fish good, fries are very good, and chowder is great.
