We happened to be in town on our way up the coast on a Friday when 3 Man Slam, a guitar/bass/drums trio who play a large variety of very danceable old time rock and roll were playing at Travelers Cover 6 to 9 PM. This seemed clearly THE PLACE to be in Florence on a Friday night!. There are booths,... More

Although on this occasion I was in Travelers Cover for cocktails and meeting with friends, it is a full service restaurant. Friday night was live music and dancing.

...and know that the food will be average. My burger was average- clearly a frozen patty with little or nor flavor. Other diners gravitated toward the Mexican dishes, which looked like regular, bad-for-you Mexican fare. I'd not order the burger again.

The waiter was very helpful with one of the diners to accommodate dietary restrictions, but he left or went on break, and it took a long time to get the bill. The food was average Mexican fare.

We arrived at 8pm on Friday. The music from the live band was pouring out of the place, and the tiny dance floor was crowded and they all looked super happy. It was very loud up front, but that's what one should expect from live rock music. Since we were here for our first time, we had no idea where... More

Food was just okay. The clam chowder was mostly cream. The halibut was small pieces. The corn bread was dry. The tarter sauce was really good. We did have good service.

has nice views though outside area is small with rather rickety old tables. inside there are a combination of tables and booths. Large traditional mexican menu with a number of seafood dishes as well. the portions are decent, but we found the food to only be average. service was fine and they serve some draugh beer and liquor/wine as well.... Traveler's Cove has outdoor and indoor seating. If the weather is nice, sit outside and enjoy the view and fresh air. There is an alley you can bring your well behaved dog to the outside seating too. These folks do a decent job of Mexican food, and we have always gotten friendly service.

Went here because the place we wanted was booked and couldn't take a group of 7 in, so this was the 'locals' we were with second choice. Food was okay but the reason for the 2 stars is service, we all talked later about how rude he was. We were not asked for drinks first but only when he came... More
