We loved going to this casual seafood restaurant for years when we lived in Eugene. Fresh fish, fried or grilled to perfection with scrumptious cole slaw or hand cut french fries. All at a great price. Whenever I'm back in Eugene it's a must stop. The Coburg Road location does both grilled and fried options for the fish. Go there!... More

My boyfriend loved his meal and so did I. The only downside is that everything is fried. Everything. Luckily, their seasoning is delicious. I would not allow us to go back for more fried food the next day but if we had stayed a third day, Newman's would have been our choice on the 3rd day as well.

Fresh or hot out of the fryer...Newman's is the best fish market in town. Come select from their wide range of fresh fish, spices, oils, and more. Or, sit in the outside patio while they prepare your choice from a wide variety of fish an chips. You won't be disappointed.

Yep, everything is deep fried on an abbreviated menu, but if your after fish & chips, or shrimp or scallops this is the best I've ever had on both sides of the Atlantic.

We stopped here for lunch on our way through Eugene. The clam chowder was very good. My husband loved the coleslaw. The fried cod was delicious with very tasty breading. We loved the tarter sauce. Fries were also perfectly crispy and fluffy in the middle. Would totally go back here next time we are in Eugene. It is obviously a... More

There are other places to get seafood and fish in Eugene - but the range and quality combined puts this place first in my opinion. I try and go at the same time as lunch because the lunches are so good - especially when you can sit outside. There are a lot of nice specialty foods in the store...

After having tried and enjoyed the smaller Newman's on Coburg we heard this one was bigger. We found the menu more limited. The special was coconut shrimp for $6.50 which was excellent but no sweet sauce like mango or apricot was offered. They just didn't go with seafood sauce or tartar sauce. We also tried the cod. Good but we... More

Great place to buy fresh fish to cook at home--WAAAYYY better than Market of Choice (they don't carry lots of shellfish though...for that go to Fisherman's Market). On the fry side...they have decent fish and chips and I like the coconut shrimp they often have on Fridays. Not a huge fan of their chowder though...a bit watery and flavorless to... More
