It took over an hour and a half to get my food. Not worth it. Prices are higher than they should be. I have no idea why this place has the rating it does. The people who work there are not friendly or apologetic. Everything...in there feels sticky and the French toast tasted like egg with no seasoning. Everyone seated around came in later than me but got their food way before me. Overall it sucks.More

I used to love this diner but since the owner died, it's gone down hill. Want a hamburger you can buy from Winco, come here. Want a wilted salad with brown spots and edges, come here. Want a country fried steak that you can buy...anywhere, come here. Want two eggs over easy but end up with one yoke, come here. Want burnt hash browns, come here. Want bad tasting water, come here. Will be going to Denny' from now on. DaveHWMore

Very quaint place with good home cooked food. Service is fantastic. I would highly recommend having breakfast at GJ's.

I can accept that getting a seat can take some time. But attitude from the male server was uncalled for. At my last visit, I had my favorite, prime rib. It was so tough that the steak knife, just was not cutting it. I brought...this up with the server, so that I could be confident on ordering the same, then he gave me attitude. So today, instead of leaving, I just ordered it. Well it was more tender but another disappointment, on top of the wrong toast. Apparently, besides jacking up the prices on this dish, they reduced the thickness and quality. So to sum it up, I will make chicken fried steak my first choice here. DaveHWMore

This was our second visit to GJ's and it was equally good. I had the veggie omelette, my husband had the California omelette and our daughter had the veggie burrito. All were good. The veggie omelette had lots of grilled onions, bell peppers and mushrooms...and the hash browns were crispy on top, like I like. All of the portions were large, none of us could finish our meals. If you're looking for a casual, local place for breakfast, GJ's is a great choice.More

No special discounts here. But huge portions of food. Haven't had the half order biscuits and gravy with eggs and ham for a while. The gravy should have had more sausage and a fresher biscuit. But I have enjoyed the prime rib and country fried...steak here before. The coffee is better at Denny's though. All in all, this place is a great one to eat at after a winning game at Oregon. Enjoy, DaveHWMore

This was our first visit to GJ's and we enjoyed it. I had the veggie omelette and my husband had the California omelette. Mine had lots of veggies and cheese The only change I would suggest is sauteing the bell peppers and onions a little...more. They were very crunchy. The portions were large, especially the amount of hash browns. My husband also enjoyed his omelette. He had the biscuit with his and it was big too. He said it was good.More

We visited this wonderful place last Friday. They are the nicest family and serve great food. The only problem is the serving size, it's over the top!!! If you're hungry and don't want to spend much, this is a terrific choice!

I have eaten here about fifteen years and it always has great breakfast and lunch offerings. If you have a huge appetite you must eat here. It is one of the last truck driver sized plates of food you will find in Eugene. My favorite...is the prime rib rare, hash browns and eggs over easy. Enjoy, DaveHWMore
