We typically come to Chapala a few times a year for family meals. Our party of 7 all left satisfied with full bellies :) I strongly recommend reservations for the weekends. Lots of good food on the menu.

Nice clean restaurant, with what seems like a pretty standard offering of Mexican dishes. They have a very nice choose-your-own combo plate, with one, two, or three items. Lots to choose from, comes with beans and rice. I had a chimichanga and enchilada, my wife...More

Went to Chapalas for Mexican food and a Marguerita. Sat in the small bar. Warm chips and spicy salsa was brought to my table quickly and the large Marg appeared shortly therafter. Good atmosphere, good food.

We eat here several times a year and count on their tasty, ample platters, cheerful servers, good bar drinks and selection of beers. Prices are low, quality high. Can be a wit weekend evenings, slow at noon.

The salsa is fresh, and it keeps coming with warm tortilla chips. The poquito y mas combination provides some variety for a very reasonable price, while the fajitas arrive sizzling with loads of ingredients to make them your own.
