Atmosphere was fair, the restaurant looked like it needed an update. The service was very good but the food a bit too hot (fiery spices) for us. We are big fans of Indian cuisine and asked for our dishes to be prepared "mild". It was not. We came here because it was close to our hotel.

We stopped there for lunch on a whim. Granted, we had just finished a six mile hike and just about anything would have tasted good. But, I swear, this is the best Indian food I have ever eaten. We had chicken curry and lamb curry. They were both excellent and mild spiciness was plenty hot. The subtle flavors were excellently... More

We only had soup due to not caring for this type of food. The soup did not have many vegetables in it and it was vegetable soup so this was disappointing. The lentil soup had very few lentils. The soup was ok though. Our other party with us had the lamb entree and said it was very, very good so... More

Superb Indian food! As good as it gets. Aloo hobo is a must with freak tikka masala too! Serious yum!!! Lots of different naan bread too. It just doesn't get better than this

Very good value for the money. Authentic food. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired; however, it's more than offset by the good food.

The restaurant is beside the Quality Inn (formerly Comfort Inn) and the name on the menu is Spice of India. I went for dinner twice in the past week and I thought the food was excellent. I had tandoori chicken one night and Kashmiri lamb the next. I had garlic naan and raita both nights. I liked everything and thought... More

I love good Indian Cuisine. The food here was very good...even excellent. I tried the curried chicken and my son had the chili chicken. Both were outstanding, flavorful, spicy, and served with lots of GREAT Naan. No rice...you have to buy it separately if you want it but it wasn't necessary. The main dish was of a sufficient portion to... More

We used to enjoy dinners at Gateway to India. Not anymore. They have changed owners. The food and service was worse than terrible when we stopped in on July 23 (frankly I would have given them 0 stars if it was possible). We won't be back.

I crave the Saag Paneer served here. I cannot recommend the buffet, but the food I have ordered from the menu has been a delight and I find myself planning my trips on the I-5 corridor to arrive at Cottage Grove at mealtime.

This was a good discovery for such a small Oregon town. The lamb was very tender. Both chicken and lamb were flavorful. The garlic nan was exceptional. We really enjoyed it.
