At the suggestion of the surf shop clerk we had the halibut burger and clam chowder. Pretty good. Onion rings with honey mustard were good but greasy. Beer selection was decent. Decor could use some imagination. Good but not spectacular.

My husband and I went there for dinner and it was a good choice. I had the oysters and they were the best I have ever had. My husband had fish and chips and liked it also. The place is very old and a little dark and that is the only reason I didn't give it five stars. The staff... More

Slow with service :(((( Food was ok. They were obviously understaffed for a busy Saturday night. Half the group had cocktails while the other half waited.

Firstly, the food was fine. Not a fancy place at all. Be prepared to be underwhelmed by the decor, if you can call it. Our server was quite attentive and even ensured that we saw the Specials before allowing us to order. The location is very central and there is lots of parking.

Greeaaat service and fine casual food, fantastic bartender! Their clam chowder is the best since my Boston college days, onion rings hands down beat anything in Chicago

This location on 101 has quickly become one of my favorites in Coos Bay -- 5 really good restaurants in 1 block, from Thai to Mexican food. Sharkbites serves as the American & Seafood ambassador of the group, doling out great burgers, fish & chips, and tasty pub food. Their nightly specials are a great choice & pair well with... More

Arrived on time for a reservation that was made weeks in advance. The hostess couldn't find our name but finally got us a table. The service was slow especially when it came to our drinks. Half of our party waited much longer for drinks ordered at the same time. Average oysters and "prawns" but we were starving by the time... More

Stopped in for dinner on our way through. The food was really good. The service was very friendly though a little slow. Some interesting looking menu items. We'll stop in again if we're through this way again.

Our guidebook said 'stop at the Sharksfin' - and there it was, so easy to find. A full bustling family restaurant with older couples and singles. We are Alaskan halibut tacos and halibut fish and chips. We were not disappointed - tasty, hot, helpful table waiter, loos, friendly atmosphere. People are parking up to come in - outside there is...
