Located a little off the beaten path, Chucks Seafood in Charleston is a destination worthy of a visit. Many smoked and fresh fish offerings. Try their teriyaki smoked tuna, salmon, or steelhead. Absolutely delicious. For a perfect on the go snack, their salmon or oyster...sticks are excellent.More

Stopped by to pick up some chowder for a little picnic. What a mistake. Worst clam chowder I have had in years. Whoever thought they could fill the pot with hash browns should be shot. It was gross! Would have been better to open a...can of campbell.More

From the reviews I thought this was a restaurant, but their are only two tables. This is a MARKET. Couldn't believe the large orders of oysters... filled-up whole coolers. Want oysters, this is the place. Since we weren't having an oyster party, my husband and...I really fell in love with their salmon and jalapeño stick and smoked oyster stick. How cool! Great grab and go item. Also had clam chowder on another occasion which was OK, but not my favorite... lacked dimension.More

I visited here two years ago and have been thinking about their smoked oysters ever since. I landed at OTH and called them for availability, horrors they were out! BUT they came back on the phone and said come late the next day and the...owner would smoke more, heaven! These black pepper garlic beauties are knee buckling good! I also tried their smoked chinook, steelhead, and tuna. So good, and I found out they ship! Thanks to Keisha and Riley (and the owner especially) for helping me this trip.More

It's worth the short detour off of the 101 for a visit to Chucks. Their smoked salmon is the finest on the Oregon Coast. This time I bought a pound of Teriyaki Smoked Steelhead. Absolutely superb with just the right amount of teriyaki, not overpowering...the natural salmon flavor. Also grabbed a few Jalapeno Salmon sticks for snacks. Delicious!!!More

I couldn't go crabbing on this work visit, so the next best thing was to hit Chuck's for some fresh-cooked crab. Service was excellent. I declined the free crab cleaning, but glad to know it was available should I have desired. Also, their crab is...boiled in saltwater. Nice.More

For our family, a must-stop on the way to Sunset Bay, Shore Acres or Cape Arago State Parks. Line caught fresh seafood of the first quality, if you are able and willing to cook. When we hit the parks or beaches, we grab an assortment...of smoked fish, salmon sticks, smoked oyster sticks and occasionally, cooked shrimp. Their canned tuna and other seafood is without equal, and I include the really expensive Spanish and Portuguese stuff you can get in fancy gourmet shops and web sites. It is always great bonus to also be able to support a local business with sustainable practices.More

I heard they had fresh seafood. We were getting our Christmas dinner together and found we were going to have additional guests. Shrimp seemed a nice addition to the meal. So Christmas eve I go down expecting a lousy attitude and nothing left. They were...still busy, but polite and with 3 types of jumbo shrimp to choose from. I can see why they have a good reputation. BTW, the shrimp were the best.More
