The setting is spectacular! Although the evening was dark due to the time of year, the location is awesome! Alex was tremendous! He catered to my gluten free need, making sautéed wolf eel. Speechless! The seafood fettuccini was plentiful! Cari was terrific as our server. Very friendly and knowledgeable..she could easily fit in in the city. Maraming salamat sa 'yo,... More

We were looking for fresh raw oysters...found them and they were great! Ordered pan fried sole - another great. Order seafood gumbo - the best I've ever had - just the right amount of cayenne - not Tabasco sauce - with large scallops, shrimp, clams, whole okra along with generous shreds of crab in every spoonful - outstanding! The service... More

Once upon a time, long ago, the Portside was THE restaurant in the Coos Bay area. It still has the same owner and the same chef but it seems they have both lost interest in the restaurant. It's a great property with a nice view of the marina but the menu is pretty stale and what comes out of the... More

The food was fresh. Staff so wonderful. You order fish, Crab, well anything on the menu and it will be fresh. The view is beautiful. I recommend this as a nice place to go for the best seafood.

We've tried this place twice in the past 6 years - the second time was because we didn't remember the first time until it was too late!! The food is just okay, nothing special. The seafood was decent but the side dishes (rice & assorted vegetables) were not. It is unbelievably expensive for the quality of the food. The place... More

This was a lovely Sunday evening dinner for two couples. Grateful for the quiet ambiance that allowed for great conversation. The food was well-presented and ample, if predictable. We're glad we went!

This very small town has a wonderful secret. A seafood restaurant with unique and beyond tasty recipes. Everything from good blue cheese dressing to the most phenomenal steamed clams (a unique broth/sauce makes the dish VERY special). The prices are a bit higher but I had the best clams ever!!! The view was a bit spellbinding. The appropriate attire could... More

We had a large group of multiple families all with children staying at the RV marina. The Portside is just across the street. My husband decided rather late for he and I to take all the kids to "a menu". Our party was three adults and 8 children arriving at 9 at night on a Tuesday. A host greeted us... More

The Portside has been a Charleston staple for many years. Nice atmosphere day or night. Big windows, marble table tops, great view. Today for lunch I ordered fish & chips which included a cup of chowder and coleslaw. My husband the creamed cod served on a bed of pasta. Delicious! Panko coating on my fish, which was crispy and light.... More
