We had this restaurant recommended by family members who recommended the fish and chips. This used to be a little seafood restaurant by the harbor, so didn’t know what to expect from an Irish themed locale. We were greeted and served promptly, it was busy...(lunch hour day after Thanksgiving), but had nice high top seats. The food was very good, fish and chips was hot and tender, the clam chowder excellent. The fish and chips was a bit oily, but perhaps previous posters complaining about this have never had fish and chips at a pub in Ireland or the UK. Seemed about right to us. Service was a high mark considering how busy it was. We tipped accordingly. Cheers!More

We ordered 2 meals to go from the online menu that priced the Fish & Chips at 3 pieces for $12 or 4 pieces at $16. I asked for the 4-piece fish and Chips and was told they were $18 and if that was, ok?...I said yes thinking the price had gone up. Fat Irish Pub charged us $18 for 3 pieces. The beer batter had a very thick crust and was drenched with lots of cooking oil. The fish was not as tender and tasty as other restaurants. I pulled the crust away and could see the silver still on the cod. The coleslaw was bland and about 4 TBPS. The tartar sauce is not up to par about 2 TBPS. The potato wedges were very tasty, unfortuantly served under the Fish. We would not order this again. We were very disappointed since the reviews were good.More

We were greeted warmly by Steph, who was also our waitress. We sat on the patio and loved it. Had the clam chowder in a bread bowl. Amazingly good. My wife at the turkey club and it was equally great We just moved here from...Pennsylvania and I can assure, we will be back!More

On the suggestion of how amazing the Irish Stew was I ordered it in a bowl with garlic toast on the side. The toast was great, the stew not so much. Upon seeing it in the bowl I paused. Unsure as to what exactly had...I ordered. I've posted a picture. You tell me. It had a total of 4 chunks of beef in the entire bowl and easily counted on one hand that many carrots. Think cooked all day mini carrot stick size chunks. Onions and celery, was it celery or maybe those teeny tiny lumps were potatoes? Maybe. What ever it was it was a globby thick paste and made me wonder if someone had thickened it with corn starch and not eliminated all the lumps. I searched for the Guinness beer flavor, it likely cooked out of the stew hours before I ordered. I tried to eat it, it sat on top the bread. I searched for more meat and carrots and then called off the search party leaving the glob in the bowl. Resigned myself to saying, I should've sent it back upon the first look, even though I've never sent anything back before in my life. If ordered early in the day it might have been amazing. Not at 4PM. Maybe not at 2.More

We had a solid dinner at the Fat Irish Kitchen and Pub. The Philly sandwich was average, but the Irish Stew severed in a bread bowl was excellent. The atmosphere was fun and the wait staff was attentive and friendly. The wine list was average,...but, hey, it is an Irish pub--the beer and whiskey list was excellent! We will be back!More

Won't be back. The help was very friendly. But the food was so oily we had a hard time eating it. Won't be back because we did not enjoy.

This was very good food and the service was great. Hearty meals and great portions. Our male waiter for lunch (8/10) was super nice and helpful with suggestions for other restaurants in town. He was a total hotty too in case he reads this.

Lucky for us, we arrived during Happy Hour! It was a busy day so when we were told we could sit at the bar, we did. From the Happy Hour menu, we chose Feta Bruschetta for me and Chicken Wings for my husband. We also got a $4 draught IPA. This was our 6th or 7th visit over the past couple of years. Previous meals and service were decent, but this visit was very disappointing. The only way we got menus and served at all was the nice bartender who noticed we'd been sitting unattended...for 15+ minutes while the servers seated and took care of a number of others who walked in. Food was pretty awful--soggy fish and chips, dry tasteless coleslaw, and cottage pie was horrible--looked like runny baby food in a bowl, tasteless and mushy, and skimpy portion. Too bad--this used to be a good place. It was beautiful outside, but only 3 tables were in service and all 3 were taken. The others were roped off--waitress said because there was no table server for that area. This was after 5pm--dinner hour! I know times are tough for businesses, but really... By the way, the food prices were all at least $1-$3 higher than the website shows. Update it, already!!!!More

Horrible service. Waited for 15 minutes to get wait staff to acknowledge my need for a takeout menu. The place wasn't that busy, but wait staff were talking among themselves and doing their own thing. During my wait I saw customers and staff walking around...with no masks or not wearing them properly. I can't support a place like this with my money, so I finally walked out. A great place for a virus super-spreader event.More
